New recipe!

Our family always loves a good pizza!

This time I decided to try a recipe with kefir as @giorgakis once suggested. Following the steps from a YouTube video on Live Kitchen channel, I used kefir, self raising flour some salt and olive oil. Of course I had to put my personal touch so I added a packet of dry yeast (8 gr), just to make the dough a little more fluffy and soft.

The final result was really good!! The dough had a nice, different than usual taste. While hot from the oven, it was crispy at the bottom and a couple of hours later, after it had cooled down, it was soft and it hadn't dried up.

Next time I 'll be following the recipe step by step and I won't use any yeast at all to see how it will work out. The chef on the same channel used kefir and self raising flour to make loukoumades donuts too, but I don't know how good they'll be. For now, I'll pass on that. I've also seen a recipe that uses Sprite for the dough and I am so curious to try it out when I get the chance (and I remember to buy a can of Sprite from the supermarket of course). If I ever get to try it, I'll let you know!

I managed to salvage a few pieces to take for Trumpman and me to take with us to work tomorrow. That will save me from cooking lunch again since Little Man has some leftover chicken soup for tomorrow, which means that I will need to get my pots dirty again on Tuesday! Isn't it wonderful when you don't have to cook every day, especially when you need to go to work?

It looks really good. I’ve never tried yogurt or kefir in my dough. My uncle owned a pizzeria for thirty years, I’ve pretty much only used his recipe for dough.

Χαίρομαι που το δοκιμασε @ruth-girl ! Που να δοκιμάσεις και τηγανιτές ( pancakes) με κεφιρ! Γενικά αξίζει να κάνεις και μονη σου στο σπίτι! Ειδικά για τον μικρό αλλα και για εσας, είναι τρομερά οφελιμο για το ανοσοποιητικό σας!
