First day of a new year!

2023 came and brought a bag of mixed feelings...

We woke up all happy and excited to cut the traditional Vasilopita cake. Trumpman was the lucky one to find the coin in it. The rest of us found only sweet sweet calories 🤣

Then, it was time to open the presents Santa brought us!! The little elf was the one to get most of them, toys, books and clothes for the Little Man with the big battery of energy! Trumpman got a hoodie, socks and chocolates and I also got a hoodie, socks and a Christmas mug! Since Little Man is a curious little boy, I did not leave all the presents under the tree this year. I kept my and Trumpman's family presents hidden to avoid them being opened by a pair of curious hands who can't stop exploring whatever comes in sight! The tree felt a little empty to me, but having my boy under it unwrapping boxes was more precious!

Later, since the weather was so good, we decided to go out in the garden and enjoy the morning sun. Little Man had other plans unfortunately. He tripped and cut his forehead. The cut was so deep it needed stitches, so we had to take him to the hospital. Luckily, his unpleasant adventure ended within an hour and now he's on antibiotics. Of course this did not stop him from being a non-stop energy ball rushing around the house all day!!

I, on the other hand, still feel a little weird after the incident and I'm taking this as a lesson to try to appreciate more every moment, because bad things can happen any time and we are so very fragile even when we feel like we can move the earth with our little finger.

2023, please be gentle!
