PICTUREPROMPT- CAN LOVE BE ENOUGH?
When she came into my life,
I knew I had found the one,
She has captured my heart and soul,
And I knew I will never let her go.
I took her with me to know my people,
But my parents made her feel ridiculed,
They said she came from the gutters,
They said she doesn't fit my standards.
Their words hurt her so much that she fled,
I wanted to run after her when my father's voice echoed;
"Go after her and lose your inheritance"
I hesitated because I knew he meant them.
I felt helpless as u watched her from the window,
The sound of her cry made me feel hollow,
I stood there not knowing what to say,
Just watching the love of my life fade away.
I love her, but is love enough?
Will she stay by my side when I'm poor?
Will she still love me after I had give up everything for her?
Can my love alone be enough for her?
Love is enough,
No,
It won't enough,
What is enough is the heart,
To search and find,
True live that won't deter.
Finding true love that won't deter can be a very good thing.
But I think both parties should be willing to make it work.

What matters in relationships is your love not hers, love can never be equal from both persons. One has to be the sacrifice
You are right but I think in a situation where it's not well requited, it could pose more problems.

This is a bittersweet poem about love between members of two different classes. This is a theme that appears in many cultures. Where I live in Canada, differences between classes are not as pronounced as they used to be in the past, but they still exist, so the poem has a nice universal theme. Well done!
