Lunch Date with My Brother: Dining in Greenwich and Trying Magnum Ice Cream for the First Time!

I got the chance to eat with my younger brother when he visited home. It's been a long time since we had that moment together, so I'm really excited. One thing I noticed about my brother is how accustomed he is to those fast food chains out there. I'm like a kid who's just watching what's going on the entire time, with amazement in my face. I'm just happy with the growth of my younger brother, you know, lol. Shyness always got the best of me, so instead of trying a new place or new things, I'd rather just stay at home and cook myself, lol. I guess staying in the big city gave my brother more freedom and confidence.

Anyhow, it's lunch time, and we're both famished with the long walk we had. Especially my brother, who does most of everything as I can't still move a lot yet at that time. So when he told me that he's hungry even though I'm still full, we went restaurant hunting in Xentro Mall. We're having a hard time choosing, actually: Jolibee, McDo, Mang Inasal, Chowking, or Greenwich? It's hard to choose, really, so we just opted to just choose what's nearby, which is Greenwich.

Although they are known for their pizzas, I'm just glad that they have other meals on their menu too. They also have fried chicken with rice, so this is the best place to eat. Me and my brother both agreed to just eat here, so here we are and like we had a hard time choosing the restaurant, and this time we had a hard time choosing what food to take too. Everything is hard, what the heck? Lol.

But my brother already decided what to get, while I'm still undecided. I actually want something lighter because I'm still full from the cheeseburger I had. But after seeing the menu, I really had a hard time choosing. So in the end, I just copied what my brother's got, lol. Why think? Just go with the flow, lol.

We gave our orders, so we just have to wait for a minute. I asked my brother what this thing was here, but he said it would tell if our orders were ready once it vibrated. It's amazing, lol. I know this has been a thing for a long time now, but I don't really eat out a lot, so I don't have any idea about what's going on with the world. What's new or what's latest, lol?

So here's my brother, who's busy with his phone. I love the vibe inside, there's a few customers inside eating with their loved ones too, some are with friends. We saw some teens a while ago who were busy counting their money, maybe they only had enough money in their wallet, so that's why they were checking it first. It's like what we do during college days, where we gather all the money we have and use it to buy foods and drinks to enjoy later.

So here's what we ordered, a small portion of spaghetti, fried chicken, rice, a slice of pizza, and a coke. It's a lot, considering that I'm still full at that time. Even with those small portions, I wasn't able to finish them. I gave half of the spaghetti and the fried chicken to my brother, including the rice. I love spaghetti, seriously, but their spaghetti is kind of not for my taste. Another thing is that it is too salty for me—the spaghetti, the chicken, and even the pizza.

I don't know why, but I didn't enjoy it that much as I have a lot to complain about. My brother is just quit, busy munching his own food. I guess he is too hungry to even complain or maybe he really just loves salty food. If I have to choose between Greenwich and Jolibee, I'll choose the latter. Their spaghetti's so much better than the first. But you know who's the best cook of spaghetti? It's my mom, I love her spaghetti, and no one can beat it.

It's dessert time! Seriously, this one is not even a plan. We just saw it in the supermarket, and I thought, Why not get one of these and try it for the first time? But imagine my surprise when I see the price, lol. It is 85 PHP, or $1.50. In my head, what is so special about this one to have a price like that? I bet it tastes just like the regular one.

I am seriously thinking of buying one, and my brother also wants to try it. It is his first time too. I told him we're on KKB, or "Kanya kanyang bili," or we'll buy it using our own money. So we go buy it, and tadaaaaan! I get this flavor, and it is dairy-free. I tried it, and it is bitter and sweet. The chocolate coating is really hard, but it tastes really chocolatey. But on the inside, it really tastes just like the regular one. I'm not disappointed because I enjoyed it too. But it is the ice cream that I will not buy that often, maybe just occasionally.

Overall, we enjoyed our food trip in Xentro Mall. Sad because we can't do this again, he already traveled back to Batangas, back to his work. I hope soon we get the chance again to eat out, but this time I want it with the whole family (人 •͈ᴗ•͈).
