Food Trip with Mama: Buying a MeatyLICIOUS Chicken Pie, Crispy Fried Isaw, and Cold Melon Juice in a Street Food on Wheels
During our last visit in Pinamalayan, despite suppressing myself from buying this and that, I couldn't completely stop the urges to taste one food, especially when someone was cooking the food in front of me. I can avoid it sure by going somewhere far from it, but my eyes and mouth are stopping me from doing so. Lol. Actually, we're still at home, and I am already reminding Mama that she should have breakfast so that she won't get hungry during the travel.
I even told her that we should save our money so we won't buy anything in there, as in including foods and goods. That's what I said, yeah. But I didn't know that I'm the one who'll break that promise, lol. I had my breakfast, I even ate rice with eggs. But no matter what you eat, if the food in front of you is really appetizing, you can't completely stop craving for it. Right? Tell me I'm not the only ( ꈍᴗꈍ). Lol. Its hard to resist the food, especially the food stalls are everywhere.
So here's to the first stop, for breaking my promise that we won't buy anything! Yeah, the first stop. There's actually a second stop (ꈍᴗꈍ). The food stalls here sell bananas, including Maruya, Turon, Banana Cue, and Camote Cue. They also have peanuts, different kinds too, spicy, sweet, and salty.
Then, on the last food stall, she sells two different kinds of pie, buko pie and chicken pie. But I couldn't taste their chicken pie before, so I got it. I also want to get her homemade siomai, luckily, the seller is still steaming it. Saved! Lolol. But not totally, huhu. One chicken pie cost 25 pesos, I got two, so we got one each. I bought another buko pie and chicken pie, but it's a takeout for the oldies.
I'll get more than one of this for me and Mama because I know one won't be enough for us. It is tooooooo small, huhu. And it is delicious, so one is really not enough. But we're tight on budget, so I stop myself from buying more than one, lol. I so love the fillings, it has chunks of chicken -real chicken at that -then potatoes, and it is really seasoned well. It's juicy too, and then the crust is crunchy, it feels good to my mouth. Huhu. I seriously love it! Mama feels the same way.
And so, we finished eating the chicken pie, but we're still craving for more. Lol. What we did was just buy some Tusok Tusok or other kinds of street foods in different locations. It is located in the park. This is like a Street Foods on Wheels, they are the ones with their sold foods in a tricycle. Much convenience, I say. And we chose this one because there's a lot of people buying in there. We thought their street food was yummier. And get Fried Isaw, just one each. It is chicken intestine, but this one is coated with flour and then deep-fried.
One stick cost 10 pesos, it's kind of big too, so I think the price is just right. We paired it with some milky juice. I got Buko Juice because I thought it had chunks of buko on it, but there's none. Huhu. Mama got the melon flavor, and this one is much more flavorful. I actually regretted getting the coconut juice, aigooo. But still, thanks to this, we're completely full after drinking it.
The fried isaw tastes really good with spicy vinegar. Mama enjoy it, but I kinda don't like it. I feel like the inside is not thoroughly clean ( ꈍᴗꈍ). I gave Mama the rest, she ate it all saying it's not that bad.
And that's how our food trip ended. I'll definitely buy the chicken pie again. It won't happen soon though because Mama is planning a vacation in Romblon. She'll stay there until March. Sad, I won't have someone to accompany me during my walk when she go to Robmlon. ( ꈍᴗꈍ)

Ah the same! I always told myself to stop eating as I wanted to lose weight..
However my appetite is such a traitor 🤣.
Hahaha, right? Hard to resist, lol.
Thank you so much @hivepakistan ✨✨🤩
Oh the street foods look so tempting 😋 My eyes would have been much bigger than my tummy. That happens too often for me as I can't eat as much as I use too.
Haha, would you try Isaw if its you? Hehe. Sad right coz our stomach can easily filled up now, compare before.
Yes I would try Isaw. Very similar to what we call chitlins here. Use to eat a lot of them when I was a young boy. They were served as snack foods at a bar & grills i use to go to here. Same goes for chicken gizzards 😃
Ohhh, now i'm curious with that chitlins. How they made and whats the best way to eat that 🤤✨
Typically fried but they are cut up into bite size. Can be chicken, pork or cow intestines. Sometimes they are stuffed with mincemeat
nakakaumay for me ang chicken pie, but not the fried isaw hehe..kahit ilan pa yan.. sarap ng foodtrip nyo ah..
Ehhhhh, pero why madam? Ang sarap nya for me, lalo juicy din inside nyaa. Uwu. Super madam. Sa uulitin ulit hehe
