A Wonderful Walk in the Rain: The Free Porridge and "Kakanin," Attending My Appointment, and Taking Care of Our PhilHealth

Walking in the rain is kind of fun, as long as we have an umbrella, then we can enjoy it too. And oh, as long as it's just a light rain, then it's more perfect ┏(^0^)┛. It's perfect weather, especially if you need a lot of walking, just like what we did today.

We had to go to Pinamalayan today because I was scheduled for a checkup with my ENT doctor. Actually, he said we can go back at the end of the month, but I'm kind of excited to see the inside of my nose. I also want to check if my nose is still clean and no polyp sighted. You see, I stopped using my nasal spray in September because I experienced a light bleeding in my nose, on the right nostril. I got scared, so I stopped using it. I'm thankful though that it's not severe bleeding just like before. And here we are now waiting for a Forland to arrive. Luckily, we didn't wait that long for the Forland to arrive.

We then hop in, the inside is kinda dark, but, to be honest, I prefer it this way. It's not too bright where my pores can be seen too, lol. And we are the first to get inside. And because it's just two of us inside, the travel is so slow as if the driver is taking its sweet time. Its like we are on a road trip rather than a transportation vehicle, lol. But the pace changes when finally some students get inside. The driver decided to drive a little faster ಠ﹏ಠ. It's really a good thing my appointment is still at 2 p.m. We are early because we have other agendas in Pinamalayan aside from my checkup.

Our travel took an hour! The travel that can take half an hour really took a while hours. Lol. The music saved me from boredom. We can choose to ride other vehicles, but this is the only vehicle that can take us to the hospital, unlike in a van. So we don't really have much of a choice. And good news! We arrive in the hospital when they are having a feast. Not sure what's the reason that they are giving foods, but whatever the reason, I am so thankful to them. We got a hot porridge with chicken and some kakanin. Of course, we asked first if it was free. And they said it is. Haha. What a lovely morning!

I just got myself listed for my checkup in the waiting area. The exact time is at 2, so we can just go back in there later. And so we were off to our next destination, which is the Municipality of Pinamalayan. This was just shared with us by a friend, it's about Universal PhilHealth. I don't really know much about it, really. All I know is that it can help us a lot. Any fellow Filipino here who already updated their PhilHealth into Universal?

Anyways, the city hall is not that far from the hospital where we had an appointment, so we just chose to walk to get there. Mama knows the way to get there, and I don't, lol. Although I already visited City Hall of Pinamalayan before, I am really not that good with the directions, so there's no way to memorize it. Lol. And in my head, I have no reason to really memorize it because I don't have more reason to visit it again (ꈍᴗꈍ).

What I saw on the way is all unfamiliar to me. I think we never walked on this part before during our recent visit. And according to Mama, this is actually a shortcut, well, thats because we get here from the hospital.

Pinamalayan is really big, there's a lot of buildings and houses in it too. And according to Mama, this is already a city, while Bansud, well, its really not a city yet as it is just a small town. But despite that, I love how lovely our town is. It's small, but we held lots of lively events in this small town. But anyhow, I just noticed the decrease of trees on this part. But in Pinamalayan Park, there's more in it. It'll be more awesome though if there's more trees on this part. But wait, who am I to even look for it? I am not even a resident here. Lol.

Some houses have their own trees on their land. Glad to see some unfamiliar trees on this part of Pinamalayan.

So we finally arrived, it's just somewhere here - the city hall, I mean. Mama doesn't remember where the entrance is in the city hall, so we have to ask some people.

When we found the office, we immediately said what we needed. Luckily, we are the first people to arrive there. So they take care of our business that fast. We didn't do much, and they didn't say much. They just gave us a form and some instructions about what to do. And we're done. But we have to come back here to pass the form and the requirements to complete it all.
