Two Like Poles Made It Work

Hi guys,

Another week is going by so fast. I hope this week we have been able to fulfil the things we set our minds to. If you haven’t achieved anything yet, don’t lose hope. Today is Wednesday and there’s a lot of time to achieve those goals.

Friendships are an important part of social life. Friends can easily be like family. Sometimes a friend can end up treating you better than even a family member and then you won’t be able to forget that special friend. Sometimes I feel like some friends are just perfect for us. It’s easy to make friends but it’s not easy to get that special friend. A friend who will go out of his way to help you in times of need, a friend who can help you when you have a problem. Those types of friends are rare these days as most people want to use each other these days.

I see myself as a jovial type hence I easily make friends. Some of these friends do not last with me because I don’t take certain things. If you are a friend who is always looking out for yourself but not others, it’s very difficult for me to be free with you. Throughout my life, I’ve had friends and friends(hope you get it hehe). Some have come and gone but this particular friend of mine remains forever in my heart. It’s difficult to describe or even remember how we became friends.

Back at the basic school, I was literally one of the stubborn guys so it was hard making long-time friends. What I mean by this is that we easily quarreled because I was always the one with the trouble lol. I know it’s hard to accept that you are the trouble maker but I knew I was so it’s not hard to accept it.

Because of this, keeping friends was super hard cause I easily destroyed them. But there was this one friend we called strawberry, he was my junior(one year). We because close friends when I was in jhs 2 and he was in jhs one. We used to live in the same area so it was pretty easy to be friends with him but we were not that close until jhs. Immediately we became close to each other we clicked like Bony and Clyde. It was a coincidence but boy we made the perfect match at school. Anywhere you saw my friend you will see me there. We were in different classes so the only time we were apart was when we were in class, the rest of the time was friends time us.

Did I forget to mention that his name strawberry was coined out of my name? At that time I was referred to as ice cream and since he didn’t have a nickname he decided to choose strawberry. Sometimes I called him strawberry ice and he called me strawberry ice cream lol. But his real name was marvellous. I was stubborn and he was too, together we caused all sorts of trouble and it was cool.

This friendship was a match made in heaven. Surprisingly I’ve never had a fight with Marvellous. All these years and we have had no single fight. Since we are apart now we hardly talk but we try to chat on WhatsApp and boy do I miss my friend.

At times we hear people say like poles repel and opposite poles attack but this time like poles did attract and I am glad we did.
