When you look at what Newcastle has been able to do this season, I think is pretty impressive with the calibre of players at their disposal. With the additions of a few players, they are doing really great this season. None of the so-called big teams has been able to beat the this season.

They drew with Man City, drew against United, defeated Chelsea, defeated spurs and now they drew with Arsenal. With the kind of form, Arsenal is in I picked them as the clear favourites for this encounter against Newcastle but it turns out that Newcastle was prepared for them. I must admit that some decisions could have easily gone their way and they could have easily won this game.

That penalty decision in my opinion should have been given. The hand in the air stops the ball from getting to its intended player and it should be given. This is the problem we have with the VAR. You see these types of things given week in week out but then in certain situations, you don't see them given. All we are asking for is consistency.

Arsenal controlled the first half of the game but Newcastle came out stronger in the second half. I think their manager Eddie Howe did a great job at placing them in the second half. If their players had better quality up front, they could have easily the game. There were situations handed to them they head the ball into an empty net but somehow the players missed it.

When I watch arsenal I see the spark, I can see what they are trying to do and boy it's amazing but I think they have to fix their decision-making at the top of the field. The problem with possessive teams is that they always want to walk the ball into the back of the net forgetting that at the back there are a bunch of players waiting for you.

If you don't learn when to leave the ball or let fly then you will always end up not scoring. It's always beautiful to see when they walk the ball Into the net with their passes but when the opposition defence is as good as that of Newcastle you will suffer.

That was the same problem I had with man city last season. They always wanted to walk the ball into the net and their excuse was they had no striker. Now that they have Halaand they do a better job cause they know he will be there.

Arsenal's draw doesn't spoil anything as they are now 8 points clear. All they have to do now is hope City lose or draws to arsenal before playing them. If these things don't happen then they will be just two points away after city beat them.

They are still league leaders and I hope they can fix this problem in the absence of Jesus.

Thanks for reading.

Arsenal vs Newcastle was always going to be a keenly contested encounter. The Gunners were bullied at Newcastle last season, ending their Champions League aspirations in the process. The fact that Arsenal were the better team against a much better Newcastle side than the one that downed them last season shows the upsurge in level Arteta's team has underwent.

As for problems, there was no problem in that match. They played well and could've won on another game; no one should overblow this draw. Even the almighty Man City can't win all their games.

I think Arsenal showed a lot of life and spark in this game. When you watch them these days you can feel and see the progress that the club has underwent.

Yep, you can’t win all your games and drawing against a third placed Newcastle is a very good result. On another day it could have been worse.

I didn't see this game, but I know really well how frustrating it can be to be on the receiving end of a harsh VAR decision. Haha. The problem with VAR is that it's very inconsistent with decisions.

As for Newcastle, those guys are hitting the Prems hard. Their owners are not looking back. They spend as much as possible and their scouts deserve some credits. They are gunning for the right legs and their buy/sell have been on point.

Arsenal fans will be gutted for dropping a point in that game, but that was still a good game. Let's see how the second half of the season would be. Haha

They will be but I think they should be happy they got a point from this new Castle side. Things could have been different if their forwards didn’t miss those open goal chances.

The outcome could have been totally different if that penalty was given. These days when you watch Arsenal play it seems that the players all the players are playing like there is something at stake.

Something I didn’t see in their previous seasons. If they have this mentality they would surely win the premier league and not only that, but bag up a few trophies as well.

Yep I think that penalty should have been given though. They have a different mentality now and I hope they keep it till the end of the season

I am super impressed with Newcastle United, they did a great job taking a point from that match and I am more convinced they will finish in the top four spots. As for Arsenal I am still not convinced they will win the league title because City will not go down without a fight.
