The Under Dog Story

There was a reason why I liked the rebirth Ruleset sometime ago The funny this is that because I was new to the game strategies that worked were like gold to me those days. With the rebirth Ruleset I always made sure to employ the use of the two range matryr cards which had pretty low health.

Back then they seemed to be causing a lot of havoc cause cards like kron the undying were used in modern battle. Kron and the combination is still golden if you’re a player in the wild league but with some of us it’s unfortunate that we can’t use any of such cards in the modern league where I play all of my games this time round.

I brought this particular story up because I faced a rather interesting Ruleset along side the rebirth Ruleset. This Ruleset is the equaliser Ruleset. The equaliser Ruleset means that all cards in battle attain the health of the highest card’s health in battle. So if the highest had a health of 20, all cards get that.

opponent line up

Upon seeing my opponents lineup I thought I had lost this game. The thing is, yes my opponent did have healer cards but then he had rage and chaos dragon which I tend to give a lot of respect to. With the way I play this days I make sure to send in cards with a lot of attack and also a lot of speed but with this I lost hope in my team.

I tend to enjoy using immortalis summoner when I have the chance. By when I get the chance I mean when I get to use high mana cards and also magic cards.

my line up

My first card was the arkemis the bear. A melee card which has gained a lot of love from my end. The reason for this selection of melee card is for 2 of its beautiful abilities. One of them being; forcefield, where a unit takes only 1 damage from attacks with power 5 or more.

One other beautiful ability is the fact that it has the halving ability which reduces an opponent’s attack ability by half.

Next in line being the mycelic slipspawn. This is a card which also has the forcefield ability but then I like using it cause it also has the taunt ability which allows all cards to attack it until is killed. This allows my other cards attacj to its prowess before it gets killed.

Next being, regal peryton, goblin psychic. For goblin one will ask why I brought it cause if it’s low speed but boy you’d really get to enjoy it with it’s affliction ability where it stops a card from healing and it’s heal abilities.

Next being a range card called, vampiric blossom. A card which has the immunity ability and deathblow ability which I like as well.

The last being supply runner. A range card which I specifically go for cause it grants all my cards +1 speed.

My opponent came to the battle grounds with a pretty massive deck. He had the arkemis the bear, the healer card merdaali guardian, chaos dragon, baakjira which was given the weapons training ability by his rage and lastly the noa the just which was also given the weapons training ability.

This battle was something that I ended up watching over and over again because of how great it felt to win. I thought that it was a sure win for my opponent but as soon as it started shattering my opponent’s shield then I had hope.

Hope which was not there when I had seen the line up.

For me I think that the summoner choice changed how this game was gonna pan out and boy did psychic do his afflictions and reducing its speed.

This is my battle link

Upon seeing your lineup you've got the 3 monster that made you stand a chance to win, regal regal Peryton, mycelic slipspawn and goblin psychic, especially goblin psychic that heals your tanker in every round and your opponent didnt have that opportunity
