Like Stars On Earth

Am sure most people have watched the movie like stars on earth, so the title of my post might be a bit confusing. Well, it’s not going to be about the movie but I think I should talk about the movie for most people who haven’t watched it.

Like stars on earth is an Indian movie which centres its story around a young boy named Ishaan. Ishaan is seen to be dumb in school as he usually doesn’t understand anything. All efforts by his parents and teachers to make him better and more serious about school prove fatal so his dad takes the bold decision to take him to boarding house after ishaan does something silly. Now this is where things change for him.

At first ishaan, cried and cried when he heard that he was going to boarding school. He thought of life away from his home and friends and just couldn’t bare it. His father thinks that taking him to boarding school is the best for him as it will train him to be a better person. The first few weeks of school is hell for Ishaan as he refuses to talk or even mingle with anyone.

It takes a brave and caring teacher, who happens to be ishaan’s teacher in class to actually care and try to help him change. He gets close to ishaan and realises that ishaan loves to draw and is very good at art. He tries and tries with ishaan until he succeeds. One of the morals of this movie is that, it takes that one special person to change your life for the better.

At first it might seem very difficult to change someone but when you decided to be someone’s guiding light, you put your mind towards it, you can be the star on the earth for that person. It’s not easy to guide someone who has doesn’t want to be guided.

I know sometimes we want to be guided as well but it can be very unpleasant for us when someone we don’t see as our star try to guide us. It seems they are only making and effort which will yield no results at the end.

Just like ishaan, I would like to have someone as a star in my life. Someone who will guide me and encourage me. Someone who takes extra caution when it comes to me. I mean who wouldn’t want that?

But then as I said are you prepared to be like a star for someone? Well, I wouldn’t mind being a star for someone if the person is willing for follow my lead. I won’t be that interest if someone doesn’t wanna follow my lead.

In the movie ishaan has a friend who is crippled but shows ishaan that he can still have fun even with his crouches. I believe all this scenarios allow ishaan to have a changed of mind. So sometimes our friends do influence us so take it or leave it we have to choose wisely cause they make an impact on us.
