Battle Mage Secretes - Little League

Hi guys,

Welcome to my blog. As usual, I’ll be writing another Splinterlands post. This is a post for the battle mage secretes challenge. The new season has started and it seems it has come with a lot of difficulty. I’ve been losing battles like crazy Mehn. Damn it lol. Anyways let’s get into it.

For this battle I used my account @rubilu and here is how it went.

Summoner:

I chose the Mylor summoner. Because this battle had a ruleset that required you to only use monsters that had 4 mana or less I had to use the mylor summoner. I love to use cards that have the magic element but then since the mana for each card was so small my favourite cards were out of reach and as such I didn’t bother using it. With the Mylor summoner, you have similar cards as with the Obsidian summoner and then you have the advantage of getting all your cards with thorns effect.

It also gives all my cards a shield of 2, which makes it more interesting.

This was a 19 mana game and as usual, I had to do something different. And that different thing is this time I did get more cards instead of always getting high mana cards.

1st position

Hill giant. This is a melee card with 3 mana. It has 6 health and 1 speed. I love using this card only because of its health. You see that its speed of one is a disadvantage but then its melee element can evade magic attacks so it makes it harder to die. It would have been the perfect card if my opponent didn’t use it as his first card as well, but then to his disadvantage, I had the thorns ability.

Round 1

Since he had the obsidian summoner he was boosted with a plus +1 magic to all his magic cards. I was in luck cause he had just one magic card; which makes me wonder why he chose that summoner in the first place. If you’re not gonna summon a lot of magic attacks why will you use the obsidian summoner? Well, I was happy cause it was to my advantage.

Since I was the one with the highest speed on my team I attacked first. My child of the forest card attacked first and made damage to his magic card, khimer princess. I almost killed it.

His goblin thief attacked my last card chaos agent back and made no damage to its health but only its shield. I did the thorns attack back to it and almost killed his thief but he was in luck. His Venari scout followed with an attack on my chaos agent and was able to kill it since it had no more shield. But before dying it made the thorns attack back to it and left it with a health of 1.

It was queen mycelia’s turn to attack and with a mighty roar, she attacked his heal giant and was able to vanquish 2 of its health. His khimer princess attacked my hill Giant back and was able to claim 2 of its health as well. Since it was a magic card it was able to evade my bill giant’s shield. My hill giant after surviving the attack gathered his strength and attacked his hill giant back and well was only able to claim 1 health. He attacked back and luckily my shield was able to block his attack and then I made the thorns attack back and left him with only 1 health.

In this round, he was able to kill one of my cards and I was not able to kill any of his cards.

Round 2

My Child of the Forest monster made the first Attack in this round and was able to vanquish his Khimer princess card. His goblin thief made the next move on my queen mycelia and was only able to have an effect on her shield. But then she made the thorns affect back and vanquished him too. His Venari scout made the next move on my child of the forest card and could also only make damage to its shield. I made the thorns affect back and vanquished it as well.

With a mighty roar queen mycelia attacked his heal giant and killed it.

My spirit hoarder made his first attack of its game on his failed summoner card and well made little damage to its health. It reflected back the attack and also made little damage to my card.

My heal giant attacked it back and could only take one of its health.

In this round, I killed 4 of his cards. He couldn’t kill any of my cards. It was looking good from here as he was left with just one card.

Round 3

In this round, my child of the first card attacked his chaos agent first and vanquished it. At this stage was left with one card and it looked like the battle was gonna end early.

Queen Mycelia attacked his last card and left it almost dead with just one health. It reflected the attack back to queen mycelia and made little damage. Spirit Hoarder made the last attack of the game and killed off his last card.

This match is one of my favourites of the week, simply because it didn’t look like I was going to win it but then I did win. I lost a card in the first round but then I believe my opponent’s choice of summoner did the trick for me.
