An Unlikely Lineup For A Familiar Win.
source
Hi splinter fam,
Welcome to my weekly dose of splinterlands content. So today I’ll be talking about an amazing battle which I had this evening. I call it amazing cause I didn’t think I’ll win with that line up. It was an experiment and it worked out really well. If you’ve been following my splinterlands contest entry you’ll probably know that I only experiment when I don’t get the chance to use my favourite elements or summoners.
This can happen in two way, one of them being my favourite elements or summoners aren’t available and the other one being the Ruleset is such a way that I’ll be shooting myself in the leg if I went ahead and used those elements.
In this battle the rulesets were close range, deflection shield and heavy hitters. The reason why I changed my line up for this baggie was for two reasons. One reason being I had the close range ruleset which meant I could go and pick those sweet range cards which add speed and wouldn’t worry about their positioning.
The other being I predicted my opponent will use the same earth summoner that I like so much so I had to change.
I used the quix the devious summoner. I mainly decided to go for a dragon summoner so that I could use dragon cards. one other reason was so that it could reduce my opponent’s speed as well.
My first choice card was a melee card which has the piecing ability; to compliment it was a retaliate ability which makes it ideal for a first position card. This card was forgotten one. A fire card which has 6 melee card and 2 speed. With the speed buffs from other cards it went up to 5.
The second in line was void dragon. A magic card that I rely on for heavy duty. With its flying ability you’re guaranteed of a few misses from the opponents cards.
I called on doctor blight once again. I can joke with any card but boy I don’t play with blight.
Next was naga assassin. I picked it for its speed buffs and also its back fire abilities.
Next was countess sinash and then supply runner both giving speed buffs.
The battle wasn’t as fierce as I thought it will be. It was unfortunate that my opponent ended up going to power instead of also considering speed. I was able to defeat him in just 3 rounds only loosing one card in battle.
You can watch the battle here.

The quix the devious is one of my favorite summoners in the game, good choice!
