Dutch football player and Manchester City defender Nathan Aké says he started playing the piano during the covid quarantine and there have been significant changes in his life. Engaging in music and learning to play the piano has brought me many positive things, as well as supporting my mental health, says Nathan Aké.

Nathan Aké, who says he sees great benefits from being involved in music, donated 10 pianos to some of Manchester's most disadvantaged schools, which suffer from lack of funding in relation to music provision. Additionally, Nathan Aké has partnered with Casio EMI to create the “Playing For Change” initiative, supported by Restore The Music. And he said they will continue to work to ensure more young people have access to music.

Music is truly a powerful tool and can undoubtedly change lives in a positive way and unlock potential. This is exactly what Nathan Aké wants to say. In particular, supporting young people to engage with music and learn to play is truly a great way to achieve a better world.

That's why I love seeing these kinds of initiatives. And I know there are so many such initiatives around the world, but we don't even know about most of them. It is really important that popular and world-renowned people like Nathan Aké support such initiatives to make them known to more people. I hope we hear more about such initiatives.
