"Dancing on My Own" is a song by Swedish singer-songwriter Robyn (Robin Miriam Carlsson), released on April 20, 2010. It is featured in her album "Body Talk Pt. 1". "Dancing on My Own" was written by Robyn and Patrik Jens Berger and produced by Patrik Jens Berger and co-produced by Robyn. Three versions of "Dancing on My Own" were released by Robyn: a mid-tempo electropop version, the PMS remix and the radio version.

Swedish disco queen Robyn inspired many artists with "Dancing On My Own". “Dancing On My Own” is a heartbreaking depiction of seeing an ex with a new lover. She captures all the agony and ecstasy of losing yourself in the beat for a moment of solitary triumph on the dance floor. “I'm giving it my all but I'm not the girl you're takin' home / I keep dancing on my own,” she wails, musically encapsulating a pain that most have experienced on the dance floors. Additionally, this song became a template for many young singers.

Different singers also covered "Dancing On My Own", Calum Scott is one of them. Calum Scott achieved huge commercial success with this song. I think Robyn sings this song best, but she didn't have as much commercial success as Calum Scott's version, which surprised me.
