Melee Mayhem Ruleset | Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge! Splinterlands

Hello everyone, I hope everything is going well in your life. Welcome to my Battle Mage Secrets post. In this post, I will talk about the Melee Mayhem Ruleset.

Keep Your Distance Ruleset

In battles with the Melee Mayhem ruleset, Melee attack Monsters can attack from any position. In other words, all monsters with melee attacks, whether they have the ability or not, can attack their targets from any position, so in battles with the Melee Mayhem ruleset, you can dominate the battle by using the strongest and most effective melee attack monsters. However, remember that your opponents will have similar strategies, so with your strategy, you can make your team more poweful in the battle and at the same time make your opponent weaker. Below I will give a few tips about the Melee Mayhem ruleset and Melee Monsters, I hope they will be useful to you.

In battles with the Melee Mayhem ruleset, Melee Attack Monsters with the Bloodlust Ability can be very effective. Additionally, melee attack monsters with high attack power are also very effective, and you may want to include the Inspire Ability in your lineup to increase their attack power by +1. And you may want to include the Demoralize Ability in your lineup to reduce the melee attack of all enemy melee attack monsters by -1, so friendly monsters will take less damage from them.

Additionally, Melee Attack Monsters must destroy their target's armor before damaging their health. With the Protect Ability, you can give +2 armor to all monsters in your team, and with the Rust Ability, you can reduce the armor of all enemy monsters by -2. Armor works really well against melee attack monsters, so I make it a point to include both abilities in my lineup whenever I have the opportunity.

Shield Ability reduces damage from Melee and Ranged attacks by 50%. Many players, myself included, prefer melee attack monsters with high attack power in battles with the Melee Mayhem ruleset, so you may want to include the Forcefield Ability in your lineup because Monsters with the Forcefield Ability take only 1 damage from attacks with power 5 or higher. You can also make enemy melee attack monsters suffer with the Thorns Ability. Monsters with the Thorns Ability do 2 Melee damage back to the attacker when hit with a Melee attack. And the Amplify Ability increases Thorns damage by 1.

By the way, you can make Melee Monsters more effective in battle by giving them extra abilities with Summoners. For example, you can give them the Trample Ability with Possibilus the Wise and make them much more effective, which is exactly what I will talk about in today's battle.

Additionally, Abilities take precedence where targeting is concerned.

Battle Ruleset

  • Rise of the Commons: Only Common and Rare Monsters may be used in battles.
  • Melee Mayhem: Melee attack Monsters can attack from any position.
  • Target Practice: All Ranged and Magic attack Monsters have the Snipe ability.

MY STRATEGY & LINE UP

According to the rulesets of the battle, all Monsters will have the Snipe Ability, only Common and Rare Monsters may be used, and Melee attack Monsters will be able to attack from any position.

First of all, I'll choose Possibilus the Wise as the Summoner and all friendly Monsters will have the Reach Ability, Trample Ability, and +2 health. And I will add the Monsters that I believe will be the most effective in this battle according to their mana cost to my team. Also, I will definitely add the Protect Ability and Inspire Ability to my lineup. I will also add the Martyr Ability to my lineup, and I will make it the target of Ranged and Magic attack Monsters, actually this will not be that difficult because they have the Snipe ability in this battle. If the opposing team has ranged and magic attack monsters, this strategy will be very useful.

The continuation of the strategy and my team's lineup is as follows;

LINE UP

Summoner : POSSIBILUS THE WISE

Possibilus the Wise is a Water Summoner who grants +2 health, Trample Ability, and Reach Ability to all friendly monsters. I can say that I chose Possibilus the Wise as the summoner because I wanted to use Water Monsters in this battle and want all melee monsters in my team to have the Trample Ability. I believed that they would be much more effective with the Trample Ability.

Position 1: DIEMONSHARK

In the first position, I put Diemonshark with Trample Ability. I can say that I put it in the first position since it has 8 armor, and I will also give it +2 more armor with the Protect Ability.

Position 2: ARKEMIS THE BEAR

In the second position, I put Arkemis the Bear with Protect Ability. Thanks to the Protect Ability, all monsters in my team will have +2 armor. And since it has 11 health, I put it in the second position and if Diemonshark is destroyed, it will take the first position.

Position 3: VENARI MARKSRAT

In the third position, I put Venari Marksrat with Martyr Ability. If the opposing team has ranged and magic attack monsters, they will target it first, and when it is destroyed, adjacent monsters will get +1 to all stats.

Position 4: COASTAL SENTRY

In the fourth position, I put Coastal Sentry with Double Strike Ability. I had no doubt that Coastal Sentry would be very effective in this battle, and I put it in the fourth position so that it would not be the first target of the enemies. Also, if my strategy works and Venari Marksrat is destroyed early in the battle, Coastal Sentry will be much more effective.

Position 5: DEEPLURKER

In the fifth position, I put Deeplurker with Opportunity Ability. I would like to say that I added Deeplurker to my team, especially to target the monsters with the lowest health in the opposing team.

Position 6: DEMENTED SHARK

In the last position, I put Demented Shark with Inspire Ability. Thanks to the Inspire Ability, all melee attack monsters in my team will have +1 melee attack, which means they will hit their targets more powerfully.

I would like to use Thorns and Demoralize abilities in this battle, but I could not include them in my strategy in this battle.

BATTLE COMMENTS

Round 1

The opponent player's strategy is also good, but the fact that the monsters on the opposing team do not have armor was a big deficiency for them and this will be a great disadvantage for them, but this will give my team a great advantage. I'm also glad that the opposing team has ranged attack monsters, this will make my strategy work better.

In the first round, all monsters hit their targets, but my team's attacks were much more effective. But Cursed Windeku caused my team's melee attack monsters to suffer, causing them to take serious damage. In the first round, only Venari Marksrat from the opposing team was destroyed.

Round 2

Early in the second round, Coastal Sentry destroyed both Cursed Windeku and Shadow Snitch with brutal attacks. And Venari Marksrat from my team was also destroyed, this was already part of my strategy.

Round 3

Coastal Sentry's brutal attacks left their mark on the third round and literally devastated the opposing team.

This is exactly why I love the Trample Ability. And Dhampir Stalker was also destroyed by Diemonshark and my team managed to win this battle.

The battle lasted only 3 rounds, and at the end of the battle, while all the monsters on the opposing team were destroyed, only Venari Marksrat from my team could be destroyed, which was already part of my strategy. Even though my Possibilus the Wise card was level 1, my team managed to win this battle easily, but I would also like to point out that if my Possibilus the Wise card was level 2, my team could have won this battle much more easily. In this battle, I clearly saw that I needed to upgrade my Possibilus the Wise card to level 2, and these days when card prices are quite cheap, I think I should upgrade my Possibilus the Wise card to level 2 and I will definitely do this this month.
