How to Make Monsters with Knock Out Ability More Effective and Protect My Team Against Their Brutal Attacks | Splinterlands Social Media Challenge!
The attacks of the monster with the Knock Out Ability are really so brutal if the target monster is stunned. That's why using monsters with the Knock Out Ability and monsters with the Stun Ability together is very effective in battles. Also, if the battle ruleset has the Heavy Hitters rule, all monsters in the battle have the Knock Out Ability, so it is very important to develop special strategies against this ability to win the battles.
If there is a monster with the Knock Out Ability on my team, I make sure to add at least one monster with the Stun Ability to my team. If the battle ruleset has the Heavy Hitters rule, obviously many players team up with a similar strategy in such battles, so better strategies are needed to win the battle. If I feel that there will be monsters with the Knock Out Ability and Stun Ability on the opposing team, I will take care to add a monster with the Cleanse Ability to my team. In this way, disrupting the opponent's strategy will give the team a great advantage in battle.
- Knock Out Ability : Does double damage when attacking an enemy that is stunned.
- Stun Ability : When a Monster with Stun hits a target, it has a chance to stun the target causing it to skip its next turn.a
- Cleanse Ability : Removes all negative effects on the Monster in the first position on the friendly team.
In short, it is possible with a good strategy to make the monsters with the Knock Out Ability more effective in battles and to protect the team against their brutal attacks.

- Ferocity rule means all Monsters have the Fury ability.
- Heavy Hitters rule means all Monsters have the Knock Out ability
Fury Ability : This Monster does double damage to targets with the Taunt ability.
Taunt Ability : All enemy Monsters target this Monster (if they are able to).
Knock Out Ability : Does double damage when attacking an enemy that is stunned.
According to the battle ruleset, in this battle, all monsters will have Fury and Knock Out Abilities. Therefore, it would be unwise to use a monster with the Taunt Ability in this battle. I have decided to strategize in this battle based on the Knock Out Ability.
When I reviewd the last 5 battles of the opponent player, I could predict that the opponent player would team up with a similar strategy, so I needed to determine a better strategy to win the battle. I was going to put a monster with Void Ability in the first position as I thought the opposing player would prefer magic attack monsters. Also, since all monsters in my team will have the Knock Out Ability, I will also add a monster with the Stun Ability to my team. And I could predict that there would be a monster with Stun Ability on the opposing team, also I predicted that there would be a monster with Affliction Ability, so I had to add a monster with Cleanse Ability to my team. And finally, I thought that in a battle like this, a monster with Tank Heal Ability should be on my team. I decided to form the team according to this strategy.
- Affliction Ability : When a Monster with Affliction hits a target, it has a chance of applying Affliction on the target causing it to be unable to be healed.
- Stun Ability : When a Monster with Stun hits a target, it has a chance to stun the target causing it to skip its next turn.a
- Tank Heal Ability : Restores a portion of the Monster in the first position's health each round.
- Cleanse Ability : Removes all negative effects on the Monster in the first position on the friendly team.
Since I would prefer Magic Attack Monsters in this battle, I wanted them to attack targets more powerfully, so I chose Alric Stormbringer as the Summoner. Alric Stormbringer is a Summoner that gives +1 Magic Attack to all friendly Magic Attack Monsters.

Alric’s gift is not so much bringing the storm, but channeling it. He has lived for hundreds of years, and some stories claim he was alive before the Splintering. Source
Djinn Oshannus is a very powerful Monster with the Void Ability and the Phase Ability at level 2 that attacks the target with Magic Attacks. I added Djinn Oshannus to my team in this battle and put him in first position, as I thought there would be Magic Attack Monsters on the opposing team. Because Djinn Oshannus has Void and Phase Abilities, he can defend powerfully against magic attacks and also attacks his targets powerfully. I knew that the Djinn Oshannus would be very effective in this battle, so I would have to make it difficult to destroy him.
- Void Ability : Reduced damage from Magic attacks.
- Phase Ability : Magic attacks can miss this Monster (using the same hit/miss calculation as for Melee and Ranged attacks).
Dawn of the Djinn 3 of 4 - The Djinn are angry at the way they were tricked by the Planet, but also appreciative that they can now enjoy this limited freedom, each trapped by natural forces. The Djinn possess powerful ancient magic of their own, which is now charged into the force of one element for each of them. The ancient demons of war are an awkward bunch to be chosen as a planetary defensive force, but they are also impressively capable of the job. As long as they are bound by the Planet, they will do its bidding. Whatever their would-be choices and allegiances, they will fight against the Chaos Legion to protect the sixth mana gate. Source
The survival of Djinn Oshannus was crucial in this battle, otherwise my whole strategy would have been ruined. That's why Djinn Oshannus was not supposed to be affected by negativity, so I added River Nymph with Cleanse Ability to my team and put her in second position. Also, River Nymph is a monster that can attack the target with Magic Attack and has the Cleanse Ability at level 1.
- Cleanse Ability : Removes all negative effects on the Monster in the first position on the friendly team.
River Nymphs inhabit the rivers of the Splinterlands. Shy and reclusive, they usually remain hidden beneath the water's surface. However, they have a strong respect for life, and they have been known to aid those in need. They are also fiercely protective of their homes and will defend it if it is threatened. Source
Merdaali Guardian has no attack power but has the Tank Heal Ability so I added her to my team. I knew that a monster with the Tank Heal Ability could be quite efficient in such a battle, so I added Merdaali Guard to my team without hesitation and put her in the third position. Thanks to Merdaali Guardian, it would become much more difficult to destroy Djinn Oshannus. Merdaali Guardian is a monster with Tank Heal Ability from level 1 onwards.
- Tank Heal Ability : Restores a portion of the Monster in the first position's health each round.
The Merdaali Guardians are a noble group committed to protecting all sea life and do not pay much attention to the affairs of people and the land. They are graceful to behold, often adorning themselves with shining jewelry. They prefer pacifism to conflict and are adept at healing and helping others through their connection to magic. However, when the Chaos Legion came to the Splinterlands, they swore to use their magic to protect what they hold most dear. Source
In this battle, I had to consider every possibility, so I thought the monster should have armor, so I added Venari Wavesmith with the Protect Ability to my team. Thanks to Venari Wavesmith, all monsters in my team would have +2 Armor. I put Venari Wavesmith in the fourth position. Venari Wavesmith has the Protect Ability from level 1 and also attacks the target with Magic Attack.
- Protect Ability : All friendly Monsters gain +2 Armor.

Water Caller is a monster that has the Stun Ability at level 1 and can attack the target with Magic Attack. The most important reason why I chose Water Caller in this battle was unquestionably her Stun Ability. When Water Caller managed to stun her target, the monsters in my team would be able to deal 2x more damage to the target in this battle, which would make it easier to destroy the target, so I thought Water Caller would be very effective in this battle. That's why I put Water Caller in the fifth position.

Gwen Stormsong was born and raised on the aquatic realm of Lemell. From an early age, she had a strong connection to the elemental mana of water. To foster her abilities, her parents sent her to train with the druids of Lemell. Gwen spent her formative years on the water, learning how to channel its power. While some druids specialized in offensive spells, Gwen preferred to use her powers to help others.
When a great hole ripped the sky open and tentacles slithered forth, chaos swept across the land, decimating cities and the landscape. And after the dark god drained the realm of mana and the Chaos Legion moved on to its next conquest, Lemell was a very different place. Nearly all life had been wiped out. The landscape was destroyed. Everything Gwen loved was gone.
She traveled by boat across the island and archipelagos, searching for survivors. She joined a handful of refugees who had survived, hidden in the caves of a craggy atoll. Gwen was devastated and spent many days in a deep depression, barely eating and hardly sleeping.
When an airship landed on the atoll, she feared the Chaos Legion had returned. These visitors, however, called themselves the Riftwatchers. They were people like her who had survived the Legion’s destruction. They were taking the fight to the Chaos Legion and asked for her and her people’s help.
Gwen agreed, and she joined the ranks of the Riftwatchers to avenge her home. Source
Venari Spellsmith is a monster that has the Dispel Ability from level 1 and can attack the target with a Magic Attack. The reason I added Venari Spellsmith to my team in this battle was that it only cost 4 mana and could attack with magic attack, obviously no other reason. I put Venari Spellsmith in the last position.
- Dispel Ability : When this monster hits an enemy, it clears all positive status effects on that enemy.
There are those who may think the Realm of Silence is a place of deep dark caverns. That could not be further from the truth. It is a region like any other in the Splinterlands that is full of homes, cities, and cultures. There are even universities that specialize in the study of magic, music, and geography. One such underground species that excels in academia are the Venari.
They created the Institute of Application that acts as a center of study for spells and tinkering. Those who wish to become fluent in spellcasting train to become Spellsmiths: masters of creating and using spells. It is through this knowledge they research and experiment with magic in order to unlock new ways to harness mana and the elemental forces.
A Venari Spellsmith is so dedicated to the art of spellcasting that magic itself became a part of them. While they themselves can manipulate magic to damage foes, magic burns through their veins. Upon death the radiating Mana explodes from their bodies, harming everyone around the Venari. Source
When adjusting the lineup of monsters in my team in this battle, I took into account that there might be Sneak Monsters on the opposing team.
- Sneak Ability : Targets the last Monster on the enemy Team instead of the first Monster.
To be honest, the opposing player's strategy was pretty good too. But I'm glad the opposing team doesn't have Monsters with Cleanse and Tank Heal Abilities. This disadvantage for the opposing team was a big advantage for my team. Using a monster with the Stun Ability in a battle like this was quite efficient, but using monsters with the Cleanse and Tank Heal Abilities on my team allowed me to win the battle very easily, which was supposed to be quite tough.
Both teams had Djinn Oshannus, Djinn Oshannus is a really powerful monster and it is really hard to destroy him with magic attacks. Djinn Oshannus in both teams is level 2 and many attacks missed them. Thanks to Monsters with Cleanse Ability and Tank Heal Ability in my team, Djinn Oshannus in my team managed to survive, but Djinn Oshannus from the opposing team was destroyed. This was the benefit of forming a team according to the rules set of the battle. t was the advantage of forming a team according to the rulset of battle.
The battle lasted 6 rounds, all the monsters in the opposing team were destroyed while all the monsters in the team were still alive. By the way, at the end of the battle, the health of all the monsters on my team was almost the same as when they started the battle. Only Djinn Oshannus was missing 2 health. This shows that my strategy is working quite well.
Using monsters with the Knock Out Ability and Stun Ability together in battles is very efficient, so I'm thinking a lot about these 2 abilities. I don't have many monsters with Knock Out Ability, but I encounter Heavy Hitters rule a lot, so I'm considering increasing the number of Monsters with Stun Ability in my deck. Monsters with Stun Ability can't always stun their targets, but in the above battle, it would be great if I had 2 monsters with Stun Ability in my team and the battle would be over in a much shorter time. So I am planning to buy the Level 3 Medusa card. I can win many battles, even the most difficult battles, when I can team up with a good strategy according to the ruleset of the battle and the last battles of the opposing player. That's why I believe strategy is very important in battle, so I grow my deck accordingly. In short, there are very few teams that cannot be defeated with a good strategy. In fact, with a good strategy, I can sometimes win even very difficult battles very easily. That's why I pay a lot of attention to strategy in battles.
