Guide to Leveling Up Cards by Combining Cards and Some Tips | Splinterlands
Hello everyone, Welcome to my Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge post. In this post, I'll talk about how to level up cards by combining cards and give some tips. I hope it will be useful for you.
In Splinterlands, no matter which league you play in, having a powerful team is very important to win the battles. In battles, it is very difficult to defeat players with powerful cards and good strategy, so having a powerful deck and a good strategy is very important. As you level up your cards, they gain improved stats and abilities, making them more powerful, and higher-level cards can be more effective in battle and more useful to your team therefore, leveling up cards is very beneficial for teams.
How to Level Up Cards by Combining Cards?
Combining multiple cards with the same name will increase the level of the cards. Leveling up Summoners will allow you to play higher level cards. You can combine cards from the cards page or you can combine multiple cards at once, but the combining cannot be undone, so do not confirm the combining without being sure.
Combining Many Cards
Step 1 : Navigate to your card collection via the Items button
Step 2 : By clicking on the "Combine All Cards" icon above, you can combine all cards from the currently displayed list.
You can filter the displayed list from FILTERS. For example, in the image above I have selected Summoners under "Role" in "Filters" and all the Summoner cards I have are listed.
I strongly recommend that you read the warnings carefully and make sure you understand what is written before confirming anything.
As the warning above says, clicking the Confirm Button "will combine as many cards as possible from the currently displayed list". However, additional cards past max level will not be combined.
Step 3 : Click the Confirm Button to combine all cards currently displayed list. Remember, the Combining cannot be undone.
If you need to combine many of your cards, combining them in bulk as above will make your job easier. If you are not sure about combining them in bulk, I suggest you do it one by one.
Combining Cards (For One Card)
Step 1: Navigate to your card collection via the Items button and click on the card you want to level up.
Step 2: Select the Stats tab to see a table showing how many copies (BCX) you need for each level.
For example, as seen in the image above, 3 copies of the Legendary Harklaw card are needed to upgrade it to level 2, 6 copies to upgrade it to level 3, and 11 copies to upgrade it to level 4. As you level up your cards, you can see the statistics and abilities they gain in the table.
Step 3: Select the Cards tab and select the individual copies of the card you want to combine. And click on the Combine Cards icon at the top.
Step 4: Read the warning carefully and if you are sure about combining the cards, click the Combine button. The combining cannot be undone.
And I finally managed to upgrade my Harklaw card to level 4, which is MAX level.
Combining the cards is that easy. By the way, a card can only be playable in the highest level version allowed by the summoner. So even if your card is at MAX level, you can use it as level 2 in battle if the summoner allows a level 2 version, so leveling up summoners is also very important. Let's examine this briefly below.
You can see the card levels allowed by the Rare Death Summoner Thaddius Brood card in the table above. In order to use my Harklaw card, which I upgraded to level 4 above, at level 4, I need to upgrade my Thaddius Brood card to at least level 7.
Or if I can upgrade my Legendary Astral Entity card to level 4, I will be able to use my level 4 Harklaw card. Otherwise, I will be able to use it in battles at the level my Summoners allow.
Level 1 cards have limited features but as they level up, their stats will increase and they will gain abilities so if you want to benefit more from the power of the card, you need to level them up. And at Max level they reach their full power. In short, you should level up your cards to make your team stronger.
Based on my experiences and the strategy I follow, I would like to give you some advice, especially for those who are new to the game;
- I recommend leveling up your Summoners before leveling up your Units, because there's no point in upgrading them if you can't use them at the level you upgraded them to.
- I recommend checking the stats of all cards so that you can decide which ones to prioritize more easily.
- Prioritize leveling up your most used cards.
- Prioritize leveling up your cards with the abilities you need the most in battles.
- Each card has a different benefit, so I recommend that you prioritize upgrading the cards that will best suit your strategies.
- I use healing and repairing abilities a lot, I highly recommend leveling up your cards with these and similar abilities because these abilities will be very useful to your team. Especially in some rulesets, you will need some abilities a lot, for example, Immunity Ability is very useful in battles with Noxious Fumes ruleset, Reflection Shield Ability is very useful in battles with Explosive Weaponry ruleset, so I recommend that you prioritize gaining such abilities to your cards. In fact, as you play, you will realize which abilities you need the most.
- As you strengthen your deck, you will win more battles, which will increase your earnings. Therefore, I recommend that you prioritize strengthening your deck. You don't have to spend a lot of money to make your deck stronger, there are some cards that are sold for incredibly cheap, for example a copy of the Legendary Harklaw card I upgraded above is trading around $0.52, which is really unbelievable.
- You can buy the card copies you need from the market and combine them with other copies to upgrade your card's level. By the way, many cards can be sold cheaper in combined versions, so I buy the combined versions rather than buying individual copies.
- You can also earn Glint tokens from ranked battles and use them to buy Draws and Chests in the rewards shop. You can get Rebellion reward cards from Draws and Chests. The Rebellion reward cards are also really powerful and I love almost all of them. And I even upgraded some of my Rebellion reward cards to level 6 in a short time.
Splinterlands is a really amazing game and I really enjoy playing it and the more I strengthen my deck the more I enjoy playing it, and the more my win rate and earnings are increasing, so I'm doing my best to make my deck even more powerful. And I especially prioritize upgrading the cards I need. Based on my experiences and the strategy I currently follow, I have given some advice and tips above, I hope they will be useful for you.
