It was handled by various record producers, including Alex da Kid, Just Blaze, Jim Jonsin, Boi-1da, DJ Khalil, Mr. Porter, and Dr. Dre. Eminem also collaborated with artists such as Pink, Rihanna, Lil Wayne and Slaughterhouse for the album. Recovery was introspective and emotional, and the album's theme revolved around his positive changes, anxiety, and emotional impulses.

Recovery was a commercial success worldwide and received generally positive reviews from critics. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 741,000 copies. It also reached number one in 17 countries, including the United States. Recovery became the best-selling album of 2010 worldwide, with sales of 5.7 million copies, and was also the best-selling album of 2010 in the United States. Recovery was certified 8x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in 2022, and was also certified 4x platinum in Australia and the United Kingdom. It was nominated for Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Record of the Year at the 2011 Grammy Awards. There are good songs on the Recovery album, but I can say that "Love The Way You Lie" is my favorite song on this album because of Rihanna. Also, “Not Afraid” is a really great song too.

A wonderful work emerged from the collaboration between Eminem and Rihanna. They really sang the song magnificently and created one of the works that will never be forgotten. The feeling Rihanna brings to the song is truly amazing. Even though it's been 13 years, I still love listening to this song. Backed by guitar, piano and violin, the song is a mid-tempo hip-hop ballad with a pop refrain, sung by Rihanna, and tells about two lovers who refuse to break up despite being in a dangerous, abusive relationship.
