Saturday Night Fever is the soundtrack album to the 1977 movie Saturday Night Fever, starring John Travolta. Additionally, the soundtrack was released on November 15, 1977 by RSO Records. The album was produced by Bill Oakes (music supervisor).

The album Saturday Night Fever was a huge sales success after its release and became the best-selling album of all time. Michael Jackson's Thriller album retained its title as the best-selling album until its release, and in 1984, the Thriller album became the best-selling album of all time. The Saturday Night Fever album still ranks as the 10th best-selling album and best-selling soundtrack album worldwide, with sales of over 40 million copies.

Saturday Night Fever was certified 16x Platinum in the United States for shipments of 16 million units. Additionally, the album topped the charts for 24 straight weeks from January to July 1978 and was on Billboard's album charts for 120 weeks until March 1980. The songs from the album, "If I Can't Have You", "How Deep Is Your Love", "Stayin' Alive" and "Night Fever" reached number 1 in the USA. Also, the Album spent 18 consecutive weeks at number 1 in the UK. Additionally, the Album was added to the National Recording Registry in the Library of Congress in 2014 for being culturally significant.

I watched the movie Saturday Night Fever, frankly I didn't like it very much, but the dance scenes were great. If I remember correctly, John Travolta became much more popular and gained more fans after this movie. I am a fan of John Travolta and he is truly a great star. Also, my favorite song on the album is "Stayin' Alive". This song was very popular around the world at the time, and was played almost everywhere there was dancing. When I was a kid, I would play this song loudly and dance around the house.
