London Calling is the third studio album by English Rock band The Clash, released as a double album in the United Kingdom by CBS Records on 14 December 1979 and in the United States by Epic Records in January 1980. The album was recorded between August and November 1979. It was produced by Guy Stevens. It is a double album and consists of 19 tracks. The album bridges the traditional punk rock sound with a new wave aesthetic, and reflects the band's growing interest in styles beyond their punk roots, including reggae, rockabilly, ska, New Orleans R&B, pop, lounge jazz and hard rock. Additionally, lyrical themes include social dislocation, unemployment, racial conflict, and the responsibilities of adulthood.

The album was a great success both commercially and critically. While both the album and the track London Calling ranked high on many charts, the album sold more than five million copies worldwide and was certified platinum by The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in the USA with sales of one million. The album London Calling was met with widespread critical acclaim and has been retrospectively regarded as one of the best albums of all time. London Calling was also one of ten classic album covers by British artists commemorated on a UK postage stamp issued by Royal Mail in 2010. London Calling is undoubtedly one of the best rock albums of the 1980s and even of all time. I've always loved The Clash's expressive guitar sound, and their musical abilities and performances are truly excellent. There are some really great songs on the album, but without a doubt the best song on the album is London Calling and I can say that it is also my favourite. I can also say that "Train In Vain" is one of the songs I listen to the most and like.

London Calling still lives on as one of the best albums ever recorded. The vast variety of genres, topics and styles on the album is truly impressive. I think they've done a great job as a band and fully deserve to be recognized as some of the greatest innovators and inventors in music history.

As I said above, all the songs on the album are really great, but my favorite is London Calling. Also, I think London Calling is the best song of The Clash and even one of the best songs of all time.
