BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge

RULESET: Little League

Description:

Only units and summoners with a mana cost of 4 or less may be used.

In battles with the Little League Ruleset, only Monster and Summoner Cards that cost 4 mana or less can be used. I can say that I like the Little League Ruleset as I have a lot of Monster cards that cost 4 mana and less in my deck, and their levels are high. And I can win more than 70% of battles with Little League ruleset, I wish all battles had Little League ruleset. 😆

I will share an interesting battle with the Little League Ruleset, I hope you like it.

Battle Ruleset

  • Little League: Only Monsters & Summoners that cost 4 Mana or less may be used in battles.
  • Noxious Fumes: All Monsters start the battle Poisoned.
  • Lost Legendaries: Legendary Monsters may not be used in battles.

MY STRATEGY

The battle had the Noxious Fumes Ruleset, which meant that all Monsters would start the battle poisoned, so from the start of the second round, all Monsters without the Immunity Ability would have their health reduced by -2 at the start of each round.

  • Immunity Ability : This monster is immune to negative status effects.

I realized that not having a level 4 Revealer card in such a battle was a huge shortcoming for my deck. When the Revealer is upgraded to level 4, it gains the Immunity Ability. I'll be upgrading my Revealer Card to level 4 as soon as possible, but first I'll need to level up my Summoner Card. Honestly, I'm glad I noticed such a shortcoming. BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenges really help me a lot without seeing the shortcomings in my deck.

Considering that the battle has the Little League Ruleset and the Noxious Fumes Ruleset, I thought that Riftwing with Flying Ability, Scavenger Ability and Backfire Ability would help me win this battle and I determined my strategy accordingly.

Also in such battles it can be very helpful in reducing the health of all enemy monsters by -1 and I chose Thaddius Brood as Summoner to use the Riftwing card. By the way, I'm going to put Riftwing in the last position and I thought that the more Riftwing's health increases in battle, the more useful it can be, so I decided that the more cards I use in this battle, the better. But the battle's mana cap was only 14, so I put cards with low mana cost in the front lines. Also, I thought it would be a great advantage to use Martyr Ability in a battle like this, where I'm going to put Venari Marksrat with Martyr Ability in front of Riftwing. Riftwing would be much more effective against Melee and Ranged attackers when its stats increased because it had the Backfire Ability. Frankly, surviving was more important than attacking, as battle had the Noxious Fumes Ruleset.

I've adjusted the line up of my team according to the health and abilities of the Monsters.

LINE UP

THADDIUSBROODStats.png

Summoner : THADDIUS BROOD

Thaddius Brood is a Summoner in the Death Unit that reduces the Health of all enemy monsters by -1 and the Magic Attack of all enemy Magic Attack Monsters by -1.

CHAOS AGENTStats.png
Source

Position 1 : CHAOS AGENT

Chaos Agent is a Monster with no attack power and has Dodge Ability from level 1. Since Chaos Agent only costs 1 mana, I added it to the team and put it in the first position.

  • Dodge Ability Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks.

WILYCOYOTIANStats.png

Position 2 : WILY COYOTIAN

Wily Coyotian is a Monster that can attack the target with a Melee Attack. Even though Wily Coyotian doesn't have any abilities, having 2 armor and 4 health at level 5 was a huge advantage for this battle so I added it to the team and put it in second position. It also only costs 2 mana.

Position 3 : VENARI MARKSRAT

Venari Marksrat is a Monster that can attack the target with a Ranged Attack and has the Martyr Ability from level 1. I really like the Martyr Ability and I love using it, especially in battles like this. That's why I added Venari Marksrat to the team and put it in the third position.

  • Martyr Ability : When this Monster dies, adjacent Monsters get +1 to all stats.

RIFTWINGStats.png

Position 4 : RIFTWING

Riftwing is a Monster that has no attack power and has Flying Ability, Scavenger Ability and Backfire Ability at level 5. I added Riftwing to the team because I thought it could be effective in this battle with its abilities, even if it doesn't have attack power, and can help me win the battle. That's why I put the Riftwing in the last position.

  • Flying Ability : Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability.
  • Scavenger Ability : Gains 1 max health each time any monster dies.
  • Backfire Ability : If an enemy misses this Monster with an attack, the attacker takes 2 damage.

BATTLE COMMENTS

Honestly, the opposing player's strategy was also very good, and I'm not surprised that the opposing player used the Martyr Ability in a battle like this. It was also wise for the opposing player to use the Magic Reflect and Tank Heal Abilities, frankly if the battle didn't have the Noxious Fumes ruleset I could have teamed up with a similar strategy.

  • Magic Reflect Ability : When hit with Magic damage, does reduced Magic damage back to the attacker.
  • Tank Heal Ability : Restores a portion of the Monster in the first position's health each round.

Round 1

Since I did not form an attack-oriented team in this battle, my team's attacks were not very effective, but the opposing team's attacks were effective and they managed to destroy the Chaos Agent. According to my strategy, Riftwing's survival was crucial for me to win the battle, and when the Chaos Agent dies, its health is increased by 1.

Round 2

round2.png

All monsters' health decreased by -2 at the start of the second round, as all monsters were poisoned at the start of the battle. I was very surprised that Wily Coyotian avoided two attacks in the second round. In the second round, the attacks of both teams were not very effective, so no monsters could be destroyed.

Round 3

round3.png

BattleGif1.gif

As all monsters were poisoned at the start of the battle, all monsters' health decreased by -2 at the start of the third round, causing 4 monsters to die, and it was admirable that Riftwing's all stats increased and also its health increased by +4. By the way, choosing Thaddius Brood as the summoner and reducing the health of all enemy monsters by -1 before starting the battle spoiled the opposing player's entire strategy as this caused Venari Crystalsmith and Venari Marksrat on the opposing team had died at the same time.

BattleGif2.gif

In the third round, Blinding Reflector and Riftwing remained one-on-one, and Blinding Reflector was not easy to deal with Riftwing. And Blinding Reflector missed the attack and took 2 damage. It really isn't easy to hit Riftwing with all its stats increasing.

Round 4

round4.png

In the third round, too, Blinding Reflector missed Riftwing, taking 2 damage and causing it to die.

round42.png

The battle only lasted 4 rounds, Riftwing really did a great job in this battle and played a huge role in my winning the battle despite its lack of attack power. That's why I don't hesitate to add the Riftwing to the team in such battles. Riftwing has some really great abilities and can be particularly very effective against Melee and Ranged Attack Monsters. I would also like to point out that the death of Venari Marksrat with Martyr Ability allows Riftwing to be more effective in this battle. That's why I would never hesitate to use the Martyr Ability in such battles. I recommend you to watch this great and quite challenging battle from the Battle Link. I hope you will like it.

What are your thoughts on the battle and my strategy? I would be glad if you write your thoughts in the comments.
