In battles with the Armored Up Ruleset, all Monsters have 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat. I like all the monsters on my team to have armor, but I don't like all the monsters on the opposing team to have high armor, so I like to use the Rust Ability, Shatter Ability, and Piercing Ability. In particular, the Shatter Ability is a complete armor killer, so I take great care to use this ability against monsters with high armor.

I will share one of my most interesting battles with the Armored Up Ruleset, I hope you like it.

• What Doesn’t Kill You: All Monsters have the Enrage ability.
• Armored Up: All Monsters have 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat.
• Healed Out: All healing abilities are removed from Monsters and Summoners.

MY STRATEGY

Before starting the battle, when I reviewed the recent 5 battles of the opposing player, it was very difficult to predict what kind of strategy the opponent player would line up a team with, so I had to consider every possibility to win the battle.

With my strategy, I will take precautions against all monsters on the opposing team. I will use the Magic Reflect Ability in the first two positions, while I will use the Thorns Ability in the last position. I will also reduce the Ranged attack of all enemy Units by 1 with the Headwinds Ability. Additionally, I will ensure that all monsters in my team have the Amplify Ability and Void Armor Ability. I can say that this is my favorite strategy in such battles, and frankly, I can say that it works in many battles.

My team's lineup and and the continuation of my strategy are as follows;

Summoner : GRANDMASTER RATHE

First of all, I chose Grandmaster Rathe as the Summoner so that all monsters in my team have +1 Armor, Void Armor Ability, and Amplify Ability. +1 Armor is very useful sometimes, especially in this battle, even if there was a Monster with Rust Ability in the opposing team, the monsters in my team would not be left without armor. Additionally, I thought that in the strategy I determined and in such a battle, all monsters in my team having Void Armor Ability and Amplify Ability would give my team an advantage. Grandmaster Rathe is a Life Summoner who gives +1 Armor, Void Armor Ability, and Amplify Ability to all friendly monsters.

• Void Armor Ability : Magic attacks hit this Unit's armor before its Health.
• Amplify Ability : Increases Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage to all enemy units by 1.

Position 1: BLINDING REFLECTOR

In the first position, I put Blinding Reflector, which has the Magic Reflect Ability, 4 armor, and 5 health. The combination of Magic Reflect Ability and Amplify Ability will cause the Magic Attack Monsters on the opposing team to suffer and cause them to take serious damage. Blinding Reflector is a Life Monster that can attack the target with a Melee Attack and has Magic Reflect Ability at level 5.

• Magic Reflect Ability : When hit with Magic damage, does half the Magic damage (rounded up) back to the attacker.

Position 2: PELACOR CONJURER

In the second position, I put Pelacor Conjurer with Magic Reflect Ability. The reason I added Pelacor Conjurer to my team in this battle was almost the same as why I added Blinding Reflector. But I specifically put Pelacor Conjurer in the second position because the opposing team's magic attack monsters with Snipe Ability would target him. Pelacor Conjurer is a Life Monster that has no attack power and has Flying Ability and Magic Reflect Ability from level 4.

• Flying Ability : Has a 25% bonus chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Units who do not have the Flying ability.
• Magic Reflect Ability : When hit with Magic damage, does half the Magic damage (rounded up) back to the attacker.

Position 3: RUNEMANCER ATUAT

In the third position, I put Runemancer Atuat with the Headwinds Ability. My goal was to reduce the Ranged attack of all enemy Units by 1 with the Headwinds Ability. Additionally, the fact that Runemancer Atuat had 3 armor and 9 health was a great advantage for this battle. Runemancer Atuat is a Life Monster that can attack the target with Magic Attacks and has Headwinds Ability at level 1.

• Headwinds Ability : Reduces the Ranged attack of all enemy Units by 1.

Position 4: WAR PEGASUS

In the fourth position, I put War Pegasus, which has Flying Ability and Shatter Ability. I especially prefer the Shatter Ability in these types of battles because this ability is a complete armor killer. War Pegasus is a Life Monster that can attack the target with Ranged Attacks and has Flying Ability and Shatter Ability from level 1.

• Flying Ability : Has a 25% bonus chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Units who do not have the Flying ability.
• Shatter Ability : Target's armor is destroyed when hit by an attack from Units with Shatter.

Position 5: ADELADE BRIGHTWING

In the fifth position, I put Adelade Brightwing. I believed that Adelade Brightwing would be very useful to the team in this battle with her abilities, especially her Repair Ability and Resurrect Ability. Adelade Brightwing is a Life Monster that can attack the target with Magic Attacks and has Flying Ability, Repair Ability and Resurrect Ability at level 2.

• Flying Ability : Has a 25% bonus chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Units who do not have the Flying ability.
• Repair Ability : Restores a third of max armor to the friendly Unit whose armor has taken the most damage.
• Resurrect Ability : When a friendly Unit dies it is brought back to life with 1 Health. This ability can only trigger once per battle.

Position 6: EVELYN AUVERA

In the last position, I put Evelyn Auvera with Thorns Ability. Even though Evelyn Auvera has no attack power, I added her to the team because it has Thorn Ability, and I put it in the last position, considering that there may be Sneak Monsters in the opposing team. The combination of Thorns Ability and Amplify Ability will cause the opposing team's Sneak Monsters to suffer and take serious damage. Evelyn Auvera is a Life Monster that has no attack power and has Immunity Ability and Thorns Ability at level 3.

• Immunity Ability : This unit is immune to negative status effects.
• Thorns Ability : When hit with a Melee attack, does 2 Melee damage back to the attacker.

Although I am surprised that there are no Sneak Monsters on the opposing team, I can say that I am glad that the Magic Attack Monsters do not have the Void Armor Ability.

Round 1

War Pegasus made the first attack of the first round, and the attack was truly brutal, and War Pegasus destroyed the Imperial Knight's 9 armors with one hit. In the first round, all monsters hit their targets, but the Magic Attack Monsters on the opposing team took serious back damage and their health decreased. That's why I like to use the Magic Reflect Ability and the Amplify Ability together. In the first round, no monsters were destroyed, but the monsters on the opposing team took serious damage.

Round 2

In the second round, all monsters hit their targets, but the monsters on the opposing team took very serious damage, including back damage, making them incredibly easy to destroy. Even though the monsters on the opposing team managed to destroy the Blinding Reflector, bringing it back to life with the Resurrect Ability was a morale hit for the opposing team, because even though it was brought back to life with 1 health, it had 7 armor. At the end of the second round, while 4 monsters on the opposing team were destroyed, all monsters on my team were still alive.

Round 3

The Magic Attack Monsters on the opposing team were suffering greatly from Magic Reflect Ability and Amplify Ability, and the back damage they received every time they hit targets became a pain for them. This did not change in the third round and the remaining 3 monsters of the opposing team were destroyed and my team managed to win this battle.​​

BATTLE RESULTS

Although the battle cost 40 mana, it only lasted 3 rounds. It was noteworthy that while all the monsters on the opposing team were destroyed, all the monsters on my team were still alive, which showed that my strategy worked quite well in this battle. Especially the fact that I used the Amplify Ability, the Magic Reflect Ability, and in addition the Void Armor Ability in this battle was very useful, so my team won this challenging battle very easily.
