Walk around Bellagio on Lake Como

Hello everyone!

Bellagio is a small town located on Lake Como in northern Italy, with less than 4,000 inhabitants. However, the lake itself is surrounded by mountains. As a result, this picturesque location makes Bellagio a significant tourist destination on Lake Como. Therefore, when going to this lake, I also wanted to visit this town.

Bellagio to małe miasteczko położone nad jeziorem Como w północnych Włoszech, które posiada niecałe 4000 mieszkańców. Natomiast samo jezioro otoczone jest górami. W efekcie to malownicze położenie sprawia, że Bellagio stało się znaczącym miejscem turystycznym nad jeziorem Como. Dlatego wybierając się nad to jezioro, chciałem również zawitać do tego miasteczka.

I arrived in the town by ferry and after disembarking at Piazza Giuseppe Mazzini you can admire this place.

Do miasteczka przypłynąłem promem i już po zejściu na ląd przy Piazza Giuseppe Mazzini można się zachwycić tym miejscem.

I took the first photos in the mentioned square, where the city tour began.

Pierwsze zdjęcia wykonałem na wspomnianym placu od którego zaczęło się zwiedzanie miasta.

You can also get to Bellagio by car by one of two routes: from the eastern side of the lake from Lecco, from the western side from Como.

Do Bellagio można również dostać się samochodem jedną z dwóch trasa, od strony wschodniej jeziora z Lecco, od strony zachodniej z Como.

After partially exploring the lower part of the city, I went up Via Roma street to the next square.

Po częściowym zwiedzaniem dolnej części miasta, ulicą Via Roma ruszyłem pod górę na kolejny plac.

Due to the limited time between ferries, sightseeing of the city was limited only to its northern part.

Ze względu na ograniczony czas pomiędzy promami, zwiedzanie miasta było zawężone tylko do jego północnej części.

The photo above shows the Basilica of St. Giacomo on the western side of the square.

Natomiast powyższe zdjęcie przedstawia Bazylikę św. Giacomo po stronie zachodniej placu.

The Church of San Giorgio is also located in the upper part of the city.

Kościół San Giorgio również położony jest w górnej części miasta.

Widok z góry na terminal promowy, jezioro oraz otaczające je góry.

After going down to the quay near the mentioned terminal, you can take a walk or sit on one of the benches and rest.

Po zejściu na nabrzeże w okolicę wspomnianego terminala można się przespacerować lub usiąść na jednej z ławek i odpocząć.

After a short walk, I decided to rest while waiting for the next ferry to Varenna.

Ja po krótkim spaceru zdecydowałem się na odpoczynek w oczekiwaniu na kolejny prom do Varenny.

It may be useful to rest after going up and down such streets several times.

Odpoczynek może się przydać po kilkukrotnym wchodzeniu i schodzeniu takimi uliczkami.

This is a place worth visiting. With more time, you can visit more and, for example, take a walk around the gardens of Villa Melzi, which unfortunately I didn't have time for.

Jest to miejsce, które warto odwiedzić. Mając więcej czasu można zwiedzić więcej i np przespacerować się po ogrodach Villi Melzi, na co ja niestety już nie miałem czasu.
