The historic center of Verona seen from the hill

Hello everyone!

I invite you to a hill in Verona with a view of the city's panorama, especially the buildings of the historical center of Verona. I took the photos at different levels of the hill, going to its top, where the Castle of Saint Peter ("Castel San Pietro") is located. Various towers and churches traditionally stand out among the old buildings in the city's panorama.

Zapraszam na wzgórze w Weronie z widokiem na panoramę tego miasta, szczególnie na zabudowę historycznego centrum Werony. Zdjęcia wykonałem na różnych poziomach wzgórza idąc na jego szczyt, gdzie znajduje się Zamek Świętego Piotra ("Castel San Pietro"). W panoramie miasta pośród starych budynków wyróżniają się tradycyjnie różne wieże oraz kościoły.

Ponte Pietra bridge over the Adige River. The bridge was originally built around 100 BC, was destroyed by floods several times, and was destroyed by the German army at the end of World War II. Rebuilt in the 1950s.

Most Ponte Pietra nad rzeką Adyga. Pierwotnie most powstał około 100 roku p.n.e., był kilkukrotnie zniszczony przez powodzie, aż pod koniec II wojny światowej zniszczony przez wojsko niemieckie. Odbudowany w latach 50-tych XX wieku.

The church of San Giorgio in Braida stands out in the background with its round dome. while in the closer plan, between trees and other old buildings, there is another church - Santo Stefano.

W tle z okrągła kopułą wyróżnia się kościół San Giorgio in Braida. natomiast na bliższym planie pomiędzy drzewami i innymi starymi budynkami znajduje się inny kościół - Santo Stefano.

In the foreground another church, this time the Basilica of Saint Anastasia. It is distinguished by a 72-meter high bell tower. Another tower, Torre dei Lamberti, can be seen in the background.

Na pierwszym planie kolejny kościół, tym razem jest to Bazylika Świętej Anastazji. Wyróżnia go dzwonnica o wysokości 72 metrów. W tle widać inną wieżę, Torre dei Lamberti.

Another tower that stands out from other buildings belongs to the Cathedral of Verona.

Kolejna wieża wyróżniająca się na tle innych budynków należy do Katedry w Weronie.

Other bridges in Verona are not as picturesque as the Roman Ponte Pietra seen in the previous photos. From below, you can see the next bridges: Ponte Nuovo, Ponte delle Navi and Ponte Aleardo Aleardi.

Inne mosty w Weronie nie są tak malownicze jak rzymski Ponte Pietra widoczny na poprzednich zdjęciach. Od dołu kolejną widać mosty: Ponte Nuovo, Ponte delle Navi i Ponte Aleardo Aleardi.
