Bastei

Hello everyone!

The Bastei is a rock formation located in the Elbe Mountains in the southeast of Germany and southeast of Dresden. It is less than 15 km to the border with the Czech Republic in a straight line, and about 50 km to the border with Poland. This beautiful place is also part of the Saxon Switzerland National Park. The rock formations, which were created over a million years ago, have been a tourist attraction for 200 years.

Witam wszystkich!

Bastei to formacja skalna, która znajduje się w Górach Połabskich w południowo-wschodniej części Niemiec oraz na południowy wschód od Drezna. Do granicy z Czechami w linii prostej jest poniżej 15 km, do granicy z Polską ok 50 km. Te piękne miejsce jest również częścią Parku Narodowego Saskiej Szwajcarii. Formacje skalne, które powstały ponad milion lat temu są atrakcją turystyczną od 200 lat.

The height of these formations reaches almost 200 meters above the water surface of the Elba River, which also flows here. There are viewpoints on some peaks and you have to strain your eyes to see the people there in the photos.

Wysokość tych formacji dochodzi do prawie 200 metrów nad taflą wody rzeki Elba, która tutaj również płynie. Na niektórych szczytach znajdują się punkty widokowe i trzeba wytężyć wzrok aby zobaczyć tam ludzi na zdjęciach.

You don't have to climb up to get to this place. You can go by car to the parking lot, from which it takes about 15 minutes on foot.

Aby dostać się w to miejsce nie trzeba się wspinać do góry. Można dojechać samochodem na parking, z którego dojście pieszo w to miejsce zajmuje jakieś 15 minut.
