Lavando las persianas [Esp/Eng]

Hello friends, from Hive and Home Solutions, I hope you are all well and have had a good week. Here on the island we have had two weeks with electrical problems, they do a rationing where in the day we often have only 5 or 6 hours of service and so everything is complicated and things are delayed in the house, but my wife is determined to put Christmas so we started to paint the living room and today I started to wash the shutter that goes there in the living room because we finished painting.

Hola amigos, de Hive y Home Solutions, espero que todos se encuentren bien y que hayan tenido una buena semana. Por aquí en la isla hemos tenido dos semanas con problemas eléctricos, hacen un racionamiento donde en el día muchas veces tenemos nada más 5 o 6 horas del servicio y así todo se nos complica y se retrasan las cosas en la casa, pero mi esposa está empeñada en poner la navidad así que ya comenzamos a pintar la sala y hoy me puse a lavar la persiana que va ahí en la sala porque ya terminamos de pintar.

And since we don't have a big space with a floor in the patio, we washed it in the hallway and we did it in parts, the cleanest parts with a broom and detergent and the dirtiest parts with a clothes brush until all the dirt was removed.

Esta persiana como dije, en la sala y tiene muchos años en la casa, es de muy buena calidad y es de las que ayudan a controlar el sol y también disminuye el ruido exterior. Es de un material muy resistente y a pesar de los años está en buena condiciones y el mecanismo para subir y bajar sigue funcionando, pero ya le tocaba una limpieza así que hoy en la tarde me puse en eso con ayuda de Matías y Rosa tomando las fotos y mandando 🤣

Y como no tenemos un espacio grande con piso en el patio la lavamos en el pasillo y lo hicimos por partes, a las más limpias le pase una escoba y detergente y a las partes que estaban más sucias le pasé un cepillo de lavar ropa hasta quitar toda la suciedad.

Afterwards we poured a lot of water to remove the detergent and all the dirt we took off and when we finished we put it out to dry in the patio and tomorrow I will assemble it and in the next few days I will wash the other one that is in the dining room and is the same as the one we washed today.

With the blind cleaned the living room is ready, today Rosa arranged everything we had removed to paint, but she will tell you about that when she has time.

Después le echamos bastante agua para quitar el detergente y todo el sucio que despegamos y cuando terminamos la pusimos a secar en el patio y ya será mañana que la monte y en estos dias me toca lavar la otra que está en el comedor y es igual a esta que lavamos hoy.

Ya con la persiana limpia está lista la sala, hoy Rosa acomodó todo lo que habíamos quitado para pintar, pero ya ella les contará de eso cuando tenga tiempo.

Y bueno amigos eso es lo que quería compartir hoy estos días han sido de mucho trabajo. Saludos y hasta otra oportunidad.
