Exciting News from Splinterlands: Groundbreaking Updates! | SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE
Hello Splinterlands enthusiasts! I have some thrilling news to share in this post. On August 15th, Splinterlands will release a new card series called Rebellion. These reward cards will introduce a plethora of new strategies and dynamics to the game. Let’s dive into these updates and see how they might change the way we play.
Rebellion Card Set: Adding New Dimensions
The Rebellion set will add 12 common cards, 12 rare cards, 7 epic cards, and 12 legendary cards. This significant expansion showcases Splinterlands' commitment to growing the game’s universe. With these new cards, existing strategies will need adjustments. These fresh combinations will open up opportunities for players to increase their battle win rates.
New Abilities: Game-Changing Innovations
Rebellion cards are not just about quantity; they introduce innovative new abilities. Abilities like Mimic, Corrupted Healing, Execute, and Wingbreak have the potential to dramatically alter battle strategies. By understanding and mastering these abilities, you can easily secure more victories in the future.
However, not all new abilities are purely beneficial. There are also debilitation abilities like Incendiary, Electrified, and Weary that can negatively impact your team. These abilities require careful planning and balance in their use. Despite their drawbacks, they offer advantages that can justify their use. This adds another layer of strategy to deck building and battlefield decisions.
Unbinding Soulbound Cards: A New Market
In addition to the new cards, there’s another major update coming on August 15th. We will be able to unbind our soulbound cards so they can be traded in the market. The cost to unbind a card is based on its power per BCX (Base Card eXperience), with varying fees depending on the card's tier and rarity. This pricing system ensures that unbound cards retain significant market value. It seems likely that DEC prices will rise with the demand for unbinding soulbound cards.
Combining and Burning Cards: Economic Strategy
If an unbound card is combined with a soulbound card, the new card will become soulbound. To unbind it again, you will need to pay the remaining unbinding fee. For example, if you combine 3 unbound BCX of a gold-foil legendary card with one soulbound BCX, the new card will be soulbound, and you will need to pay 12,500 times the current multiplier in DEC to unbind it.
Soulbound cards can be burned for Glint, while unbound cards can be burned for DEC. The introduction of new cards and abilities, along with changes to the reward card economy, underscores Splinterlands' commitment to keeping the game fresh and challenging.

These major updates clearly show that Splinterlands is continually striving to provide the best gaming experience for its players. With the addition of new cards and abilities, as well as changes to the reward card economy, we are presented with many new opportunities and challenges.
