What is Water Baptism according to the Bible?

Baptism is the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit. It is also the washing away of sins.

Peter replied, “Repent and return to God, and each one of you must be baptized in the name of Jesus, the Anointed One, to have your sins removed. Then you may take hold of the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Acts 2:38 TPT

• Your first act of obedience after receiving Jesus into your heart is to be baptized in water. You are fulfilling the words and mandate of Jesus Christ when you are baptized in water. Baptism in the water signifies your willingness to follow Jesus and conform your life to His will.
  Baptism is an excellent next step after you have decided to follow Christ.

• It is a public confession of faith that represents that you want Jesus, you need Him and you have decided to follow Him.

WHERE SHOULD WE BE BAPTIST?

Whatever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be done diligently and with enthusiasm for the house of the God of heaven so that there will not be wrath against the kingdom of the king and his sons.
Ezra 7:23 AMP

• Baptism is a commandment by God, and anything commanded by God must be done IN THE NAME OF JESUS.
  Christ is a person and He is also a place, that's why Baptism is done in His Jurisdiction.
  The Bible says we should be Baptist IN denoting a place called Christ

• We learn and receive the Word of God in the house of God, His commandments are also taught in His house. The House of God is the Church of God.

And Christ is the head of the church.

And so, dear brothers and sisters, you are now made holy, and each of you is invited to the feast of your heavenly calling. So fasten your thoughts fully onto Jesus, whom we embrace as our Apostle and King-Priest. But Christ is more than a Servant, he was faithful as the Son in charge of God’s house. And now we are part of his house if we continue courageously to hold firmly to our bold confidence and our victorious hope.

The valid Baptism is the one done IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, and it is the only one we should accept.

There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Ephesians 4:5 NLT

IN CONCLUSION

The Church has a discipline, and the discipline is the Doctrines of Christ. Baptism is significant for our salvation. We must go through Baptism.
