The previous day was very wonderful as we study the words of God concerning prayer and the proper ways we can pray to God during the MCGI CARES LIVE EVENT, and it was a wonderful time indeed.
HERE ARE THE IMPORTANT POINTS I LEARNED FROM THE LIVE EVENT
HOW does science explains prayer and what does the Bible says?
- According to science they say Prayer can be relaxation and reduces blood pressure. Prayer is also a method of pain management. Pains can be reduced through prayer.
WHAT IS PRAYER ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE?
According to Philippians 4:6 TPT
- Prayer is simply an act of making our definite request to God. It is not storytelling.
Prayer is to God and not to any other.
WHAT IS THE PROPER MANNER OF PRAYING?
Prayer is not something we memorised. Everything we ought to say in prayer comes out of us.
Prayer can be for our day-to-day living, our family, children, friends, enemies, Nations etc.
Prayer gives strength and answers to questions in our hearts.
We should always be thankful to God for our requests because we believe He will answer us.
God's Commandment is for us to pray and not pass the duty to someone else to pray for us.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF PRAYER?
- When you are prayerful, your family will be peaceful.
- When you are worried and fearful, the solution is Prayer.
- When we pray, God will guide our hearts and minds.
- Helping others is priceless and every day we should seek opportunities to help our fellow man.
- Whatever we do to others it will come back to us. Since we can not see God, we can see our fellow man, so let's show love and kindness to our fellow man.
- We render our worship to God through our sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving and also in helping those in need.
MY EXPECTATIONS THAT WERE IMPROVED BY LISTENING TO THE TEACHINGS
- Sometimes when am faced with challenges that I felt are just too much for me to handle, I feel so weak even to pray. But after the teachings, I was made to understand that prayer is everything and it is the only solution to all life challenges.
HOW THE TEACHINGS HAS POSITIVELY IMPACTED ME
It has helped to improve my prayer life. And now believe Prayer is the only solution to all human problems, needs and desires.
When we pray and believe, God hears us and He answered us. So prayer should become a part of our life.
