Mr DIY Plus - The biggest Mr DIY outlet in Malaysia

I can safely say that the majority of Malaysian know what is Mr. DIY. Whenever you wanted to buy hardware or tools, Mr. DIY will be the first place that pop-outs your mind.

MR.DIY, is a Malaysia-based home improvement retailer. It is a part of MR D.I.Y. Group Berhad, and provides home improvement products for do-it-yourself projects through online and offline stores. Recently, I saw on TikTok that there is a new outlet for Mr. DIY that is located at Midvalley Megamall. There is a lot of Mr. DIY outlet, but what makes Mr. DIY Plus different? Mr. DIY Plus combines 3 brands from Mr. DIY inside one outlet. The brands are (i) Mr. DIY, (ii) Mr. Dollar, and (iii) Mr. Toy.

Last weekend I and my family went to Midvalley Megamall for lunch, and while we were there, we stopped by Mr. DIY Plus. The outlet is located at level 3 of Midvalley Megamall north court.

At the north court, once you are at the third level, from far you will see the Mr. DIY Plus signboard. The signboard was really big and for sure you won't miss it.

The basket/trolley is located at Mr. DIY Plus's entrance. There was three staff that was organizing and checking for any defect on the basket/trolley. This is something that does not being practiced at any other Mr. DIY outlet.

When we were there, the Mr. DIY Plus outlet was crowded with visitors. I dislike the walkway for the basket/trolley because it was narrow and not able to accommodate both-way traffic.

This need to be address quick because using the walkway becoming a hassle. We even decided to left the basket/trolley at the upper level when we went down to the lower level.

We only bought three small items and some tidbits. Payment counters were divided into two (2) which is (i) normal payment counter with the cashier, and (ii) self-service checkout kiosk.

Since we only bought a few items, we try to make payments using the self-service checkout kiosk. The payment was easy and fast. Within a minute, we have successfully paid for the items.

Overall for me, the is nothing special about this outlet other than it is bigger compared to other Mr. DIY outlets. This outlet sells the same items that can be found at any other Mr. DIY outlet.

I still prefer to go to a much smaller outlet because it is easier to find the items that I wanted.
