Lantak Kafe @ Port Dickson

My family and I took a short vacation in Port Dickson last weekend. We stay at PD Guesthouse which is located within the Teluk Kemang beach area. I prefer to stay in this area because this area has the most restaurant compared to other beaches in Port Dickson.

We arrived at Port Dickson around 4 pm. After check-in and putting our belonging in the room, my daughters changed into their swimming suits and then straight away went to the swimming pool.

I told them that I brought them to Port Dickson for the beach. To my surprise, they said they do not like to go to the beach. The reason why is because the sand makes them feel not comfortable.

Both of my daughters were in the swimming pool from 4 pm until 6.30 pm. They were really hungry after getting out of the swimming pool. My wife asked them to change their cloth and then we will go out for dinner.

We went to Lantak Kafe which is just 2 minutes away from our hotel. This is our first time eating here. Usually, we will be going to Char Kuew Tiaw King restaurant. But for this trip, I wanted to try a different restaurant.

This is the entrance to Lantak Kafe. When we were there, the number of customers was not that many. Maybe because we were early. My youngest daughter was too tired and doesn't want to be in the picture.

We choose a table for four that was near the entrance. Upon seating, the waitress hand to us sets of the menu. On the menu, you can see the Lantak Kafe tagline that reads "Lantak Sampai Muntah" which means "Eat till vomit"

Lantak Kafe's concept is more toward open-air outdoor restaurants. Inside the restaurant, only a few tables can be seen. Roughly, the restaurant can fit somewhere between 15 to 20 customers.

Most of the tables were located outside of the restaurant. We were lucky that day because the weather was good. If it were to rain, I don't think the restaurant able to accommodate a lot of the customers.

For dinner, I ordered a late of large char kuew tiaw. My wife and eldest daughter ordered two sets of chicken chops, and my youngest daughter ordered a set of cheezy fries.

The total for all of the food and drinks was 15 USD. It can be considered cheap. If we were to eat the same menu in Kuala Lumpur, the bill can easily go up to 20 USD.

Taste-wise, the chicken chop sold here tasted much better compared to the one that I have eaten at
