Henna drawing at Brickfields, Bangsar

Yesterday was Eid al-Adha and today is a public holiday for the whole of Malaysia. Eid al-Adha or known in the local tongue as Hari Raya Haji. Eid al-Adha in Kuala Lumpur was not celebrated as big as Eid al-Fitri.

In the afternoon, I suddenly had a craving for Masala Tea. The best Masala Tea is sold in the Brickfields area. The last time I went there was last week during my hunt for Pani Puri.

For this trip, I brought both of my daughters along. I want them to experience the Brickfields that is called "Little India". We made our move from my mom's house at 4 pm and arrive at Brickfields 30 minutes later.

As expected, finding a car parking spot was challenging. Plus today is a public holiday. After having no luck finding a parking spot, I decided to park illegally on the roadside.

During normal days, I don't dare to simply park illegally on the roadside. The chances of getting a ticket are high. However, since today was a public holiday, I am confident that the city council enforcers are currently off duty.

There were multiple stalls selling various types of Indian street food. But my eyes were only scanning the area for Masala Tea. Finding one was easy. The majority of the stall was selling Masala Tea.

I bought a cup of Masala Tea from one of the stalls. A cup of Masala Tea was sold for MYR1 or around 20 cents. It was one of the best Masala Tea that I have ever tried.

After getting the Masala Tea, we went sightseeing in the area. While walking, my daughters saw one stall that is offering henna drawing services.

There were multiple designs of henna drawings to be chosen from. My eldest daughter choose a rose design, while my youngest daughter choose a butterfly design.

A total of fifteen minutes was taken to draw the design on top of my daughter's hand. I was charged 4 USD for the henna drawing service.
