Eating Out @ PizzaGo
Last month, my Friday lunch expenses went overboard because we ate at some pricey places. My friends joke that on the days when I hesitate and fuss the most about going, we end up spending more per person. It’s funny, but in reality, the costs have been increasing month by month. I don’t pay my share immediately, a colleague gives me an interest-free loan, which I repay at the end of the month when I get my salary. It’s a convenient setup, hahaha
On October 18, we went to Pizza Go for Friday lunch, recommended by one of our colleagues. It wasn't a big place, and there was no crowd, we were the only ones there. The recommendation came from watching a reel where the pizza looked good, so we thought, why not take the risk? Pizza is irresistible, trying new places is always fun!
The place was so empty that we joked about whether the pizza there would even be good. When it was time to order, I made sure to tell them to order properly, don’t skimp, order enough. If it’s too much, fine, but don’t let it be too little. One of our colleagues was dieting, we brought her along just to tease her, haha. She came with her diet lunch, which included some veggies. She asked for a knife, saying she’d chop her veggies while we waited for the pizza, but she had to make do with a butter knife since a proper one wasn’t available.
The order took forever to arrive, and we joked that maybe they went to get ingredients from somewhere else or even ordered from the pizza shop next door. After more than half an hour, we had to get up and check. In the kitchen, there was just one person making the pizza. When we asked why it was taking so long, he just smiled and didn’t say anything. Maybe it took time to heat the oven, who knows how long it had been off, hahaha
Finally, our pizza arrived, and wow, stuffed-crust pizza really hits differently. Each place has its own unique stuffed crust, and this one didn’t disappoint. It looked great and tasted just as good. You could see from the picture that it was mouth-watering, and it really was as delicious as it looked. We polished off the stuffed-crust pizza first, then the regular pan pizzas arrived.
One after another, we kept eating until we were full. We had three slices left at the end, which we took back to the office. The stuffed-crust pizza was fantastic, but the rest were just okay, not bad, but not exceptional enough to go back for. The quality was reasonable. It cost us 1,000 rupees per person, imagine going from 250 to 1,000, that’s quite a leap. I’ll have to put a brake on this spending.
