A Friend's Treat @ Smoky B's
There is a unique fun in taking and giving treats to friends, but it's even more enjoyable when things don’t go according to plan. A few days ago, we had a similar experience. One of our friends got a good job, and since it was his first salary, a treat was a must. So, we all decided to go to Cafe Imran, which is an excellent restaurant but quite far away. We arranged a car, and everything was set, but at the last moment, the car broke down, leaving us without transport.
I suggested we go on our bikes, but everyone refused because the distance was long, and riding bikes would be tiring, taking the fun out of the trip. In the end, the Cafe Imran plan was canceled. I then suggested we should go somewhere else because if we postponed it that day, the plan might not happen again. Everyone agreed, and we decided to meet at a central location, Johar Mor, and from there, we chose to go to Smoky B's.
Smoky B's is the kind of place I would never go to on my own because it's very expensive. Just looking at the menu card could make you think twice. I ordered a burger called Spicy Cheesy Belly, two more burgers were ordered by my friends, and one of them ordered a beef ribs platter, which seemed extremely expensive to me.
It took some time for the food to arrive, so in the meantime, I took pictures of the restaurant. The seating was decent, but nothing special, although the wall pictures were attractive and nice.
The beef ribs platter was quite different, the meat was very soft and tender, and I enjoyed eating it. But again, I didn’t think it was worth the high price. Still, I didn’t have to worry about the bill. Despite the price, the beef platter was delicious. By then, our burgers were also served.
The burgers looked good, but their taste was just average. For the price and the fancy atmosphere, I expected more from the burgers. However, the sauces and flavors of all three burgers were different, and I tasted all of them. Maybe it was the high prices that set my expectations too high, which is why they didn’t meet my hopes.
Overall, it was a fun experience because eating with friends adds a special joy to any meal. So, in that sense, the plan was a success. Even though we couldn’t make it to Cafe Imran, we got a chance to try Smoky B's, thanks to Mr. Mairaj for the lovely treat!

Sorry you were disappointed with food, but glad you had a good time with friends.

it's all because I am stingy and I dont like over expensive food although it was tasty but did not match the cost. Yeah, with friends its always nice
loooks good bro i love beef lol. I'd probably get that beef platter too and the burger as well :'). wow Mr Mairaj is awesome
Yes, Mr. Mairaj is awesome because he gave us the treat hehehe
O.O does he always do it?
yes most of the times, we all do but it was because of his first salary
oh i see. He got a new job then?
yes, he is running his own business plus he got a good job so plus plus
o.o what a baller. when your turn?
no one knows even I dont wanna know lol I am too stingy for giving treats like this
o.o only you will kno . you gotta treat him back man return the favor
there is no return or favor in friends hehehehe😇
o.o is it not normal there? So if someone gets you a gift for your birthday, you won't get them one on their birthday?
It is not mandatory/compulsory , if you are giving me gift , that is your wish and love for me without looking for return.
o.o ofc it's not mandatory. it's a culture thing here though. it's not about looking for something in return. it's just getting a gift wishing them happiness or good life for a friend and if someone did that I feel it's normal to give something back. It doesn't have to be expensive; it's the thought that matters.
oohh oks, well here too it is the same but in my friends circle , there is no turn, whoever have the money he pays and about the special treats, that also is upto the person and his pocket if can afford.
oh that's good then :3 it's always good to have what goes around comes around. nothing like giving!
