Junji Ito Collection Review [ENG-ESP]
Greetings, friends of the Anime Realm community! It is as always a pleasure for me to be joining you after a while. I consider that this space dedicated to the exciting world of Japanese animation is very necessary and appreciated within the Hive Web3. This time I want to share with you a review of an anime belonging to the horror genre that left me with a very good feeling, it's Junji Ito Collection, a fantastic adaptation of the manga of the same name.
¡Saludos, amigos de la comunidad Anime Realm! Es como siempre un placer para mí estar acompañándolos después de un tiempo. Considero que este espacio dedicado al apasionante mundo de la animación japonesa es muy necesario y apreciado dentro de la Web3 de Hive. En esta oportunidad quiero compartir con ustedes una reseña sobre un anime perteneciente al género de horror que me dejó sensaciones muy buenas, se trata de Junji Ito Collection, una fantástica adaptación del manga del mismo nombre.
Let's start by mentioning the creator of this work, Junji Ito. Imagine the potential of this anime being that Mr. Ito is considered the father of horror manga, and his loyal fans claim that some of his creations can lead to madness. With this in mind, I think we can give a chance to this collection of tales that range from the beyond the grave to psychological horror and the dark arts.
The animation is an aspect to highlight in the series and I think the studio and the production achieved an excellent result, as the scenes capture the audience and keep us in suspense of the dark stories that are told there with great mastery.
Empecemos por mencionar al creador de esta obra, Junji Ito. Imaginemos el potencial de este anime siendo que el Señor Ito es considerado el padre del manga de horror, y sus fieles admiradores alegan que algunas de sus creaciones pueden llevar a la locura. Tomando esto en cuanta considero que se le puede dar una oportunidad a esta colección de cuentos que van desde la ultratumba al terror psicológico y las artes oscuras.
La animación es un aspecto a resaltar en la serie y creo que el estudio y la producción lograron un excelente resultado, ya que las escenas atrapan al público y nos mantienen en vilo de las tétricas historias que allí se cuentan con gran maestría.

The plot although varied, within the horror genre, focuses on creepy stories and disturbing events that in some cases are heavily influenced by Japanese legends and folklore. There is a character called Souichi Tsujii who is recurrent in part of the collection and this is for me a very important element in the plot since his strange and gloomy personality brings a lot of intrigue and makes us want to enter his mind to find out what it is that leads him to behave in a bizarre way, both selfish and disconcerting.
La trama aunque variada, dentro del género de horror, se enfoca historias espeluznantes y hechos perturbadores que en algunos casos están muy influenciadas por leyendas y folclore japonés. Hay un personaje llamado Souichi Tsujii que es recurrente en parte de colección y este es para mí un elemento muy importante en la trama puesto que su extraña y lúgubre personalidad aporta mucha intriga y nos hace querer entrar en su mente para saber qué es eso que lo conduce a comportarse de un modo bizarro, tanto egoísta como desconcertante.
Another aspect of this anime that stands out is its music, which adds a touch of mystery necessary to capture the audience's attention, as well as adding an atmosphere of uncertainty.
The way the Japanese manage to develop the horror genre has always caught my attention, not only in this type of animation but also in the diversity of existing audiovisual and literary productions.
Otro de los aspectos a resaltar de este anime es su musicalización, la cual aporta un toque de misterio necesario para captar la atención de la audiencia, así como también agrega un ambiente de incertidumbre.
La manera cómo los japoneses logran desarrollar el género de terror siempre me ha llamado la atención, no solo en este tipo de animación sino también en la diversidad de producciones audiovisuales y literarias existentes.
If you are encouraged to watch this macabre gem I assure you that exciting things will happen from a horror point of view and many of the chapters will capture your attention from beginning to end with a well done job by both the creator and the producers of the anime. SOICHI MENTIONED!! A lot of people sure do like Tomie (I mean, by face value, she's definitely a luring mermaid in her own right), but yes... Soichi best boy. He's creepy, but let's just take that he's just on his delusional youth days (ya know, the 8th grade syndrome... or more accurately as the chuunibyou) Makes him cute regardless.
Since you've already gave a rating for Junji Ito Collection, why not go deeper on Junji Ito Maniac? (Also, Uzumaki on Adult Swim when...)
I'm just watching Junji Ito Maniac, I hope to review that and other horror genre adaptations soon.
And yeah, I guess delusional Soichi is cute in a creepy way.
More Soichi delusions down there (and more Tomie as well, if you're a fan of her).
Also, for another recommendation: some short anime (just 4 minutes per episode), but is worth the horrors and "what the hecks". This one's named as "Yamishibai" (aka: Theater of Darkness). Give it a try too!

Wow! De las mejores obras que Junji Ito Sensei ha hecho animadas de una forma espectacular y actual. Esta colección (junto con la de Junji Ito Maniac del 2023) son una completa locura.
Como fanático del género del terror y del anime, disfrutar de ambas cosas en una obra de este calibre es un completo disfrute. Sin embargo, lo que más me fascina es la increíble imaginación del creador que llegó a superarse a sí mismo y que ahora se pueden ver animadas de una forma aterradora, como siempre se quiso ver.
Y hablando de la imaginación de Junji Ito Sama, su universo de historias macabras y aterradoras son espectaculares incluso en este lado del mundo. Desde casas embrujadas, hasta cabezas flotantes que cazan humanos y seres de aspecto aterrador sacados de otra dimensión. Luego del gran Lovecraft, mi favorito sin duda es Junji Ito Sensei.
Muy buena recomendación.
