Weekend engagement 189: WEEKEND AT HOME.
Outdoors or indoors this weekend.
Hello hello, I hope you have a relaxing and long weekend. Here I am again after being away for quite a while.
I always try to go for a walk on the weekends, whether it's to have a coffee, sit in a square or visit stores that I like even if I'm not going to buy anything, it relaxes me and disconnects me from all the overwhelm of the week. But there are times when I love to stay at home, sharing a cup of tea with my mom while we tell each other how our week went.
Some people think it can be boring to be cooped up at home for so long, but I love it, I do so many things that I don't get bored. My house has a garden so in the mornings I sit in the sun and clean the plants that are dirty with dirt while listening to my favorite relaxing music playlist.
I have a small workshop at home, where I spend most of my time when I am not working, here I make my small paintings and work on my clay pieces, I have my cups to serve my tea while I paint and plates for snacks.
In the afternoon I like to sit in the living room to watch a series or read a book, I highly recommend The Snow Society, always reading accompanied by good music. Here is a playlist that will accompany you this weekend if you want to stay at home:
Alone Again (Naturally)- Gilbert O'Sullivan
California Dreamin'- The Mamas & The Papas
Can't Take My Eyes off you- Frankie Valli
Dancing Queen-ABBA
Dare-Gorillaz
Generous Heart- Maya Hawke
Garcita- Simón Díaz
Sometimes I make a dessert for my family to enjoy something sweet, suspiros, ponquesitos, cakes, accompanied by juice or tea, I spend some time playing with my cat and when she is tired we lie down for a while to rest. At night I say goodbye and go to my room, where I finish doing some things pending in the workshop, then I go to bed and turn on my lamp.
The night is my favorite part, because the lights together with the cold air conditioning give my room a calm and relaxing atmosphere, I don't fall asleep immediately; I like to write about what I did during the day, I cross out the tasks already done, I watch a few chapters of a series and I'm ready to go to sleep, hoping that the next day will be just as calm and fun.
So this weekend I decide to spend it at home, watching the day go by through my living room window and a breathtaking sunset that tells you "How beautiful it is to enjoy life".
