Clearing the land and plant renewal in the new year
Hello Hivers
Hi all my friends, the rainy season seems to be over at my place and this is the right time to clear the land and plant some other tropical plants in the land around the house, and for the last three days I have been a little busy preparing and also cleaning up some of the areas that I will make my new plantation area this year, yes, even though I don't do it routinely, it feels a bit tiring, and let me show you what's new about my plants, let's start from the front yard of the house first
Some of the orchids have re-bloomed these past few days, and also I have finished setting up all the small stones for the floor of this simple plant house, everything has been done for a while, just need to add some other ornamental plants (flowers) to make it look even more beautiful
Some time ago I have shared about the vines that I will plant, and look at the current conditions, they have all started to grow well, here are some photos
In total there are 8 grapes that I planted around this simple building, their condition has started to improve since I planted them a few days ago, I gave rice husks to increase soil fertility in this grape growing medium, maybe it will work, because I have practiced it on one The vine that was planted early on purpose, even now it is already two meters tall and the trunk has also started to grow, I hope it's not just luck, other grapes should also grow like the first grape planted.
In the photo above you can see that the grass in the front yard of the house is still green and getting long, but now the grass is gone, I have cut all the grass in the front yard so they can grow back more densely next time, and this is how the lawn looks like just home now
It looks neat and clean, but the green grass is still more beautiful. My grandfather used to deliberately put this grass in the front yard of the house. mowing them after a rainy season like this will indeed make them a little slow to grow, but just one day it rains these grasses will grow thickly, and that's what I'm looking forward to for now, and here we call this grass dutch grass
I will replace the old bamboo fence later, and put some ornamental trees there, it's just a matter of waiting for the right time and moment, I can't do all that alone, not to mention I also have to work and build my own business
Alright, that's enough for now for this front yard, now let's move on to the backyard, where I have my banana garden.
Some time ago, this banana garden was flooded and it just dried up about a week ago, therefore, this garden started to look very bushy, some of them have even been uprooted, it's a bit tiring work, I have to clean up this garden and make it more nice to look at, I started to pile up the dry leaves under the tree to rot and become natural fertilizer, while the fallen stems I will move to another place later
There are many banana trees that are bearing fruit, but there are only four stems that have entered the harvest period, and that is a type of chicken banana, but this is the village version, and there are also kepok bananas which are usually made for chips or fried foods, I plan to make them tomorrow harvest all these bananas, and share them with some of my neighbors, I rarely sell my garden produce, from the beginning I have said, planting is just my little hobby not to make money, sharing the harvest also has its own happiness for me
In another corner of the banana garden, several coconut tree seedlings have also started to grow, I have even planted two of them at the very back of my house.
This is a type of hybrid coconut whose maximum height is only about 5 meters, and these seeds are the seeds that I took from the tree in front of my house, there is no need to buy them anymore, but because I haven't prepared the planting medium, these seeds have started to grow. I really don't have enough time to do all this, can anyone help me😅
The plan is that I will replace all the tall coconut trees with these hybrid coconuts in the future. Apart from that, planting coconuts here is not difficult, just make the planting medium so they will grow by themselves, just avoid direct sunlight, and other things that are unique to this coconut is that they can grow even though we plant them close together, but I don't do that, I give a distance of 5 meters from one coconut tree to another, so they are more beautiful to look at when they grow up
The coconuts that I have planted have recently been very targeted by young coconut traders for them to sell, they say that this green coconut can be beneficial to health and there are many people in demand, it's a shame I don't want to sell it to them, because if I sell young coconuts, it takes 2 -3 more months to be able to harvest it again, I'd better sell coconuts for vegetables only, and even then if I want to
So that's the condition and the latest upgrade of some of my plants this year, I hope this year I can enjoy a good harvest, as well as all of you who are here, that's all for this time, thank you and see you soon
Have a good weekend

Thank you very much for your remarks, 😊🙏
Wow! You have a lot of plants in the home lot. Those bananas are ready for harvest very soon and you will have a free food from the backyard.
You are right, if it can be planted for what it is bought, wouldn't it be my friend😊
Those orchids are gorgeous! I'm also getting a bit jealous over your banana and coconut palms. Probably because we can't easily grow them where I live.
Yes, so do I when I see other plants that I can't grow here, each region certainly has its own advantages, as well as other plants.
Thank you for visiting and happy weekend
