En esta oportunidad compartiré con ustedes una restauración de guitarras de juguetes, estás pequeñas guitarras las recibí de la maestra de preescolar de mi niña menor.

Quizás a ustedes les ha sucedido que cuando las personas saben que tenemos el don de reparar o de restaurar acuden a nosotros en busca de soluciones.

This time I will share with you a toy guitar restoration, these little guitars were given to me by my youngest child's preschool teacher.

Perhaps it has happened to you that when people know that we have the gift of repairing or restoring they come to us looking for solutions.

Esto me sucedió este viernes,pero fue mi niña que al ver unas guitarras rotas en su salón le dijo a su maestra que su papá podía repararlas y la maestra me las dió cuando fui a retirarla de la escuela.

No podía negarme, primero porque mi niña tuvo la iniciativa y segundo porque sé que podía solventar y colaborar con la escuela.

Eran dos guitarras una no tenía cuerdas y la otra estaba despegada, tenía cuerdas de metal pero también estaban rotas y representaba un peligro para los ojos de los niños y las manos.

This happened to me this Friday, but it was my child who, seeing some broken guitars in her classroom, told her teacher that her father could repair them and the teacher gave them to me when I went to pick her up from school.

I could not refuse, first because my child had the initiative and secondly because I know that I could pay and collaborate with the school.

There were two guitars, one had no strings and the other one was detached, it had metal strings but they were also broken and represented a danger for the children's eyes and hands.

Por lo tanto estovo bien que mi niña me ocupara en la resolución de este problema.

Para darle solución a las cuerdas de la guitarra lo que hice fue ubicar nylon de plástico, uno que es transparente, resistente y se asemeja a las cuerdas de los cuatro.

So it was good that my little girl took me to solve this problem.

To give solution to the strings of the guitar what I did was to place plastic nylon, one that is transparent, resistant and resembles the strings of the four.

Con una pinza empecé a retirar las cuerdas de metal de la guitarra rota y después de hacer esto ubiqué Silicon para pegar el cajón.

With a tweezers I started to remove the metal strings from the broken guitar and after doing this I placed Silicon to glue the box.

El Silicon caliente es bastante resistente cuando se enfría, por lo tanto podía resistir las cuerdas cuando empezara a templar cada una de ellas.

Supongo que la tapa frontal de la guitarra se rompió por esta razón, por estirar mucho las cuerdas.

Mientras se secaba el Silicon de la guitarra, empecé a colocarle cuerdas a la que estaba en menor estado.

The hot Silicon is quite tough when it cools down, so it could resist the strings when it started to temper each string.

I guess the front cover of the guitar broke for this reason, from stretching the strings too much.

While the Silicon on the guitar was drying out, I started putting strings on the one that was in lesser condition.

Aquí pueden ver el tipo de naylon que utilizaré para colocar las cuerdas de la guitarra.

Este nylon es resistente y al estirarlo hace sonido, así que podía funcionar bien, porque la idea es que no solo tenga cuerdas, sinó que también emita sonido, de esta forma el niño se sentirá feliz al tocar la guitarra.

Here you can see the type of naylon that I will use to place the strings of the guitar.

This nylon is resistant and when stretched it makes sound, so it could work well, because the idea is that it not only has strings, but also emits sound, this way the child will feel happy when playing the guitar.

Lo bueno de este nylon es que también es fácil de manejar y al hacer los nudos no se sueltan con facilidad.

Cuerda a cuerda fuí amarrando desde la base hasta las clavijas que se encargan de estirar las cuerdas.

Sabemos que las cuerdas de la guitarra tienen su grosor específico y que cada una de ellas va en una posición específica, pero aquí solo simularemos unas cuerdas reales.

The good thing about this nylon is that it is also easy to handle and the knots do not come loose easily.

A pesar de ser unas mini guitarras de juguete, estás tienen funcionalidad en sus piezas, las clavijas tienen su orificio por donde pasa la cuerda y también giran, esto me gustó mucho porque alguien que conozca sobre guitarras podría hasta afinarlas.

Despite being mini toy guitars, they have functionality in their parts, the pegs have a hole where the string goes through and they also turn, I really liked this because someone who knows about guitars could even tune them.

Después de un rato entretenido con la colocación de las cuerdas, ya las pequeñas guitarras estaban listas para ser probadas por una niña, aquí pasaría el control de calidad.

Mi hija será la encargada de ponerlas a prueba, de tocarlas y sacar unas tonadas jaja.

After a while of fun with the placement of the strings, the little guitars were ready to be tested by a little girl, here they would pass the quality control.

My daughter will be in charge of testing them, playing them and getting some tunes out of them haha.

Yo me encontraba a la espectativa de que le gustaran y que hicieran un sonido agradable.

Poco a poco fuí ajustando las cuerdas para que quedarán bien estiradas y emitieran sonido.
