Fisrt tournament of the year [Esp/Eng]

Ayer dimos inicio a las actividades extra académicas de Matías de este año con su primer torneo de Ajedrez, un Híbrido, que como les he contado anteriormente, es una modalidad online donde juegan en línea con participantes de otros países, y que en Venezuela, tuvo dos sedes en esta oportunidad, Margarita y Guarenas.

El torneo se está desarrollando en Rattan Supermarket, en las oficinas de la escuela de ajedrez Ulises Hernández que funciona en el lugar, y tiene una duración de dos días, así que hoy nos toca asistir nuevamente, pero la verdad que para mí la asistencia a estos torneos tan largos, dejó de ser una especie de tortura, y se convirtió en la ocasión perfecta para compartir con amigas a las que quiero un montón, además, ayer me encontré con una sorpresa genial, y fue que instalaron ventiladores de techo en el área donde esperamos los padres, así que cero calor esta vez.

El dia de ayer se desarrollaron cuatro rondas, y hoy nos quedan pendientes tres, siendo la última a las 2:30 pm, así que saldremos un poco más temprano, y quizá al ser más corta la jornada Miranda vaya con nosotros.

Como siempre, pasamos el tiempo conversando, jugando juegos de mesa, y por supuesto atentas a la página del torneo para ver cómo iban nuestros chicos, y hasta aprovechamos de acompañar a @jesymora a comprar algunas cositas para su casa en una tienda departamental que queda súper cerca de donde se desarrollaba el torneo.

Sin dudas fue una oportunidad genial para reencontrarnos con gente especial, aunque extrañamos mucho a nuestra amiga @egleidyscsc74, quien hace unos meses se mudó a otro país y era parte de nuestro team.

Yesterday we started the extra academic activities of Matias this year with his first chess tournament, a Hybrid, which as I have told you before, is an online mode where they play online with participants from other countries, and that in Venezuela, had two venues this time, Margarita and Guarenas.

The tournament is hosted by Rattan Supermarket, in the offices of the chess school Ulises Hernandez that works there, and lasts two days, so today we have to attend again, but the truth is that for me attending these tournaments so long, ceased to be a kind of torture, and became the perfect opportunity to share with friends whom I love a lot, plus, yesterday I found a great surprise, and was that they installed ceiling fans in the area where we wait for the parents, so zero heat this time.

Yesterday four rounds took place and today we have three rounds left, the last one being at 2:30 pm, so we left a little early.

As always, we spent the time chatting, playing board games, and of course keeping an eye on the tournament page to see how our kids were doing, and we even took the opportunity to accompany @jesymora to buy some stuff for her house in a department store that is very close to where the tournament was taking place.

Without a doubt it was a great opportunity to meet again with special people, although we miss a lot our friend @egleidyscsc74, who moved to another country a few months ago and was part of our team.
