Blooming... Cherry Tomatoes Coming Soon [Eng/Esp]

One of the greatest satisfactions when we sow a plant is to see it grow and bloom because being a fruit plant is the sign that very soon we will be able to harvest and here my cherry tomatoes are in full bloom!

Hello #hivegarden friends! I hope you are doing super well and that your gardens and plants in general are growing healthy, free of all pests. For my part I was very anxious to share the progress of the 4 cherry tomato plants that my son Matías planted and that we transplanted two weeks ago.

I really wanted to come earlier but there wasn't much to tell except that they had grown quite a bit compared to the day we transplanted them, so I decided to wait until they were more developed, but I didn't think I would see myself in two weeks telling you that they already had flowers!

I am surprised by how fast they are blooming because I did not remember them doing it so fast and especially because I see them still very small, but there they are, showing their buds and some of them even started to show their beautiful yellow color, which makes me very happy.

As I told you in the previous post I was not sure that all 4 would survive because when they were planted in the same hole their roots were intertwined and there were two much smaller ones due to the way Matías planted them, so the fact of seeing them super beautiful the second day after transplanting them made me happy and not only me but everyone.

As we have them in the dining room window we see them constantly and we are attentive to their care and evolution but above all Matias supervises them and is aware of their watering and of course he was the first to notice that the buds were forming.

At first only the two biggest ones had them, then the third in size showed us theirs, but unfortunately Matias by accident when trying to show them to his sister bent the twig where they were born, so we wait to see how it evolves and just yesterday the smallest one, which still does not match the others in size, let us see some small buds.

For now we have not put any vitamins, they were only planted in a mixture of compost and we hope that it will be enough for them to continue growing and their flowers can become fruits very soon.

I must confess that every time I pass by the dining room I stop to look at them and check their leaves to see if everything is going well and the situation makes me laugh a little, because I am just like a mom looking to see if they have new leaves, trying to see their height and the thickness of their trunk. I am studying the evolution of my babies!

The bigger ones that were transplanted are beautiful, but the smallest one looks a little yellow in its leaves and although it has grown I think it has grown very slowly and to be honest I thought it would not survive, but there it is, not as big as I would like but about to open its flowers, so I'm going to bet on it!

For now we are now in the sweet wait, praying that all the flowers can bear fruit and of course continue to grow and I think that in the window are in a very good place, especially because in the season of December it usually rains and there are protected from excessive rain that is not good friend of tomato plants and in the afternoons receive a good dose of sun.

Another advantage of having them in the window is to be able to control any kind of pests at the first sign, in the case of where we live, the main threat are the ants, so hopefully being on the second floor and with them always in sight we can help them in some way.

And this concludes the second report of our adventure with trabsplanted cherry tomatoes. I hope to come soon to show their fruits! Wish me luck!

A big hug to all of you. Kisses and blessings!

Deseenme suerte!

Un gran abrazo a todos. Besitos y bendiciones!

I wonder when I'll have a tomato plant this beautiful. It's healthy and looking so green and lovely. I planted one some weeks ago and it grew but when I transplanted it to the little space I plant thing in my backyard, birds ate it up and I was so upset. I'll definitely plant another someday but I'll make sure I keep it somewhere safe. I really love your plant and how you're taking care of it. Weldone amiga
