The A Class R34 | NFS Unbound
HELLO, HELLO, GOOD PEOPLE OF HIVE. ☀️
It is I, back again with some NFS Unbound gameplay.
So, I hope you're all doing good, and are ready for some action on the fast paced straights and the buttery smooth corners. Because we have a JDM legend on the track today, and this legend right here is one of my favorites.
It's been a while since I've last played any NFS, I got bored with all the extreme S+ and S tier races on the highways. So, in order to kill some time I decided to build some new cars for the lower tiers and then test them out; thus, I decided to start with the Skyline GTR R34. The R34 is capable of reaching higher tiers, but then you'll have to change its heart, which would be an absolute crime. And that is why A tier seemed like the perfect option.
Even the most "arcadey" games these days make you grind your ass off, there's very little "enjoyment" because of that.
Yet, if you want the moolah, then you must grind. It's kind of like real life, you know.
Since I've grinded a fair bit in the last Season, I now have a big garage full of cars and wads of cash lying around. That is why during my free time I just decide to buy a car and experiment it on different tiers and tracks.
Living the dream, eh?
Having millions in cars, and also the freedom to buy any car I want, whenever I want, that surely is the dream. But for now that dream remains in the digital realm only. Because if we're being honest, then I'd probably never get a R34 for 90k USD in real life. I'd have to pay double, that too for a car that's almost 30 years old. It may be an "old car", but it is an icon after all.
If you have one in mint condition with the original parts and rarer spec, then it can easily be sold for over $400k; some models hitting prices of over a million even.
So, for me to have access to something like that in real life is still just a fairytale and a dream. Will that dream come true one day? It might, but for now I'll make do with what I have.
It's sad that the recent NFS titles don't have the Toyota Supra, due to some ongoing dispute; thanks to Toyota. But at least we have the R34, which is a bit more iconic. Yet, surely another icon like the MK4 Supra wouldn't hurt, alas, that's nowhere near possible.
If we did have the Supra, then I'd surely have one more icon and favorite in my digital dream garage.
This here was actually an Endurance category race. And I wasn't even planning on participating at that time, especially not an Endurance race, but I got a random invite and I really wanted to test out the R34, so I accepted.
However, what started as a test, ended up with me securing first place by a long shot. I really thought I'd get destroyed, because my car was still in the experimental phase and I've never raced on this track either. But I don't know what got into me, somehow I was taking every corner like I've known it all from the start.
Now, was it me in flow state? Or did Paul Walker's ghost take over at that point? I really don't know, but I surely was happy with the result lol.
Well, that's about it for today's gameplay. It's undoubtedly one of my favorite races, because the track was good and the car was even better. A bit too dreamy all of it.
So, hopefully you guys will enjoy watching the gameplay, as much as I enjoyed it all while I was racing.
I'll be signing off from here then, be seeing you folks on the next one.
Cheers & GG 🥃☮️
It seems to me that all of us who enjoy this kind of games had that genuine dream of having one of those vehicles and apply the same improvements, but as you say, maybe it's the fairy dream. The vehicle looks great! I like everything you did to it.
Oh, you are right, because in real life it's not as easy. Even if you have the money, taking care of a car isn't easy, especially if it's a much older model. So, it's surely not for everyone. Then we also have gas, maintenance, insurance and so much more to take care of. Sometimes we humans require less haha.
Thank you! This is my go-to style for the R34, and I've been using this look for almost a decade now.
