TDM on Apex Legends Season 16 - Revelry
FELLOW GAMERS OF HIVE, GOOD DAY TO YOU ALL. ☀️
How's everyone doing today? I hope you're all doing good. I myself am doing well, I'm back on the grind, working, gaming a bit more when possible, thanks to the hype of the new updates.
Also, the greener sight of crypto is looking quite nice, it's been quite a while that we've all been swimming in the bloody pools of red. After a consistent streak of painfully powerful dips and experiences in 2022, the realm of crypto is off to a good start in 2023 I'd say.
Now, back to the gameplay. In the past few weeks I've been playing a bit of Apex Legends, on and off, COD wasn't doing much and was in a really poor state. So, I thought to myself, why not head back to Apex and grind for a bit?
The first week or so I was quite sloppy, I lost my touch completely, especially in the movement and centering department. Now after 2 weeks or so I can say that I'm back on track, somewhat. I'd say that I'm 70% to 80% closer to my final form, the form that I maintained back in Season 3 and 4.
I can't believe we're on Season 16 right now. It's been close to 3 years that I've left Apex for good, and this February marked 4 years of Apex Legends.
It's been quite a bumpy ride, especially for the players who have been here from the start; no matter the ups and downs, they stayed and played through it all, kudos to them. I myself am not that patient, I get bored quite easily, so I have to switch it up every now and then. Why not explore the many other options that are out there? Especially when the game is getting boring and deteriorating day by day.
This new Season brought in a new mode, Team Death Match, TDM in short. This is a good addition, but I don't think it'll be here for long, not in this Season at least, it may get added back in the future, just like the Arena mode.
So, on the first day of the update, I decided to join my older teammates from my clan; we then teamed up and dominated a few matches on this new TDM mode.
This is the first time the devs implemented such a game changing update and meta. It feels like a completely different game after the update. From the legends, to the guns, to the UI, everything has been revamped. You can really call it Apex Legends 2 if you'd like, that's how it felt to us haha.
That is what's got all these players hyped, especially the veteran Apex players. A lot of the older players are making a comeback, tournaments are being hosted again, scrims are being hosted almost everyday as well.
The game received a huge dose of energy, a new life, and I couldn't be happier. Because this is where my competitive journey started, this game right here, Apex Legends.
Me and the boys did quite alright in this match, it was a slow one, but that's because it was only a 3v3 instead of a 6v6; some players left mid-match. Usually these TDM matches aren't as lengthy.
I'm main-ing Bangalore for now, I'll go back to Pathfinder or Mirage again if Bangalore becomes boring again haha.
The game does have a new weapon, which is kind of broken from close to mid range. It will surely receive a nerf soon, but for now the players are going to have some fun while abusing it from top to bottom. You'll see me running it as well, but I was actually testing it to see how it does, and even though it's powerful, I'd rather have a Havoc, R-301 or Flatline as an AR/long-range gun.
The game is quite stable too, servers aren't as laggy as they used to be, which is a good sign of improvement. Many players left because of the shitty dead servers a few Seasons ago.
That's about it for today's gameplay and Apex update. I'm hoping to upload more of such new content, so you better be on the look out.
I hope that you guys will enjoy this energetic gameplay from the new Season of Apex Legends. I'll be signing off from here, be seeing you folks on the one.
Cheers & GG 🥃☮️
