Visiting the beach of the past // Enjoying the beauty of the new beach and remembering the moments of the old beach

This story will focus on the trip I took yesterday, precisely in the afternoon after picking up my cousin from school. After arriving in Bireuen 2 days ago, I immediately did my usual activities in the village, namely going to the garden and doing activities like other village children, yesterday, precisely at half past 4, I returned to pick up my cousin from school and after that I thought about taking her to a beach which was a beach that I often visited when I was a child.

My cousin who really likes to travel immediately followed my invitation, and I made the trip to a beach called "Pantai Laksamana", where my aunt's house is located right on the edge of the beach, so the beach is a beach that I often visit when I was a child.

but for the past four years I have not visited the place because of several reasons such as work and activities that busy my daily life, but yesterday I took the time to travel to my aunt's house, precisely on the edge of the beach that I wanted to go to, because I remembered a memory and a desire to see the beautiful atmosphere of the beach again.From the pick-up point of my cousin to the beach it took about 45 minutes by motorbike, and it was not too far and not too close so I didn't waste time and immediately traveled to the beach with my cousin

This is my aunt's house on the beach, but when I visited yesterday the house looked empty and I didn't know where my aunt had gone, after I knocked on the door but there was no answer from inside the house and I immediately thought maybe my aunt was out for a walk or visiting a place I didn't know, but because my aunt wasn't at home so I just parked my motorbike in front of her house so it was a little safer.

Well, because this beach is located right on the edge of my aunt's house, from my aunt's house, the blue sea is faintly visible. At first, I didn't notice any changes to this beach, and only realized it after I got closer and started exploring the sea.

My cousin and I immediately walked towards the sea, stepping on the very soft sand, the wind blowing continuously against my body, instantly opening up memories of my childhood when I played in this sea.

90% of the population here work as fishermen. And that is very common, and on the edge of the sea there are also some parking lots for fishing boats to park their boats, and suddenly my cousin asked me to take a picture of him who wanted to pose next to the fishing boat.

After taking some pictures showing the beauty of the boat, I immediately stepped closer to the sea to see the beauty and authenticity of this place. Well, that's where I started to wonder because after 4 years of not visiting this sea, it turns out that this place has changed up to 80%, from changes that occur naturally to changes made by humans, one of which is now the addition of rocks on the edge of the sea to be able to withstand the waves of sea water.

Because in this sea there is my aunt's house so we used to often play in this sea with my mother and grandmother, and I also often swim in the sea with friends in the village, but now everything has changed a lot, the changes that I can witness in this sea but I can still imagine how beautiful this sea was when I was little, that's the will of nature all of that can change whether it's a natural change or a change made by humans but of course the change is made for a good purpose which is to hold back big waves so they don't hit the houses of residents near the sea.

My cousin and I started climbing the rocks to explore the area around the beach while enjoying every change that occurred on this beach.

we continued walking until we reached a river mouth, that's where I immediately remembered the memories I had experienced in the river, namely that I used to fish in the river and sit on one of the trees near the river, but now everything has changed, I can even say almost 100% changed from the area around this beach. Everything looks different and everything looks foreign to me.

I was very surprised by the changes to this beach, making me a little confused at that time, but rather than being pensive, I decided to sit on the rocks while enjoying the beauty of the beach that used to be a place for me to play and have fun.

but behind this very significant change also brings a good impact for local residents, because with the presence of this coral reef can withstand the big waves in the sea, so that the waves will break and allow there to be no risk of waves hitting the houses of residents around the beach, and with the presence of this coral reef also becomes a place for anglers to do their action, even though this change is very significant I still try my best to be able to enjoy the beauty and imagine my memories on the beach.

And when I was sitting enjoying the beauty of the beach and watching all the activities of the residents around the beach, suddenly my cousin asked me to take his picture again.

It is not only the beach that has changed, because in several of the residents' plantations there have also been many changes, namely that now there are several fish ponds in their gardens.

It is true that time goes by and changes will continue to occur, and it all depends on ourselves how we face the changes. I remember my childhood, when we often picked young coconuts in the garden, but now there are several fish ponds in the garden.

After enjoying the beautiful atmosphere of the beach near the river mouth, I immediately decided to return to the starting point because I remembered that it was already very late afternoon, so I decided not to waste too much time here. and when I arrived at the first point I saw some small children playing there and seeing the incident I immediately remembered my childhood when playing on the beach.

I can only remember it but I can't repeat it again, that's what is called memories. And after capturing some beautiful moments around the beach, I decided to go home to my aunt's house, and when I arrived at the house, it turned out that my aunt had not come home and the house was still empty, seeing that incident I immediately decided to go home.

Maybe I will come back to this beach in a few days to meet my aunt to ask about the changes in this sea, maybe this is the feeling that makes me so curious.
