Traveling to Blang Padang Field, Banda Aceh City // Historical place and the beauty of the replica monument of the Seulawah plane

Good afternoon to all my beloved hive friends ♥️

The location of Blang Padang field is not far from the Aceh tsunami museum, so yesterday when I was on my way home from the museum I took the time to enter the Blang Padang field area to see the charm and beauty of this historical place closer. And on weekdays to enter this field there is no ticket which means that entry to this field is free.

And the distance from the Aceh Tsunami Museum to Blang Padang field is quite close, which is about five minutes on foot and one minute if we use a motorbike and it is very close, so yesterday when I left the museum gate I immediately ran to Blang Padang field.

The path on the edge of the park is also very cool with several large trees blocking direct sunlight, and a fresh breeze can be felt immediately when you set foot in the gate of the field.

And the location of the Blang Padang field is only about 1 kilometer from the center of Banda Aceh, so this place is a field and a park for almost everyone, and uniquely this field is always crowded with visitors every day. I went to the Blang Padang field yesterday at 12 noon, so this place was still very quiet, and this field will start to get crowded at 03:00 pm until night.

Especially during holidays, this place will definitely be filled with many visitors, because in this field there are many activities that can be done because in it there are several types of sports fields such as soccer fields, basketball courts, volleyball courts, and badminton courts, but there is one sport that is in great demand here and is an attraction for young people, namely the running track which is next to the soccer field so that many people do afternoon jogging on the running track and it also becomes a beautiful sight.

And uniquely, almost on every path in the Blang Padang field there is a small monument on which are written the names of the countries that helped Aceh during the tsunami disaster 20 years ago.

After walking around the edge of the field for a while, I immediately decided to go straight to the middle of the field, because I wanted to enjoy the beauty and grandeur of this most visited place.

It looks like a stretch of fields overgrown with fresh grass that makes the natural atmosphere look very enchanting, green is a natural color that we often see in nature because this color is the color of some leaves and grass, but the sun does not want to lose, it continues to shine and makes the atmosphere very hot.

And you can see the view of the soccer field and running track which are the favorites of visitors to come to this place, I deliberately went to this place right at noon because it was not crowded with visitors where I could capture this moment to my satisfaction. If I visit this place in the afternoon then this place will be filled with visitors which will slightly interfere with my activities because my main goal is about my trip and the place I visit not about the fame of the place.

However, going towards the middle of the football field might not be a good idea as the weather was very hot, so I decided to immediately approach an object that was the center of attention of this place, namely the replica monument of the Selawah ship.

This is a replica of the first Indonesian plane, so at that time the Indonesian economy was not doing well so the first president came to Aceh and asked for a little donation from the people of Aceh to buy a plane and the people of Aceh also donated their wealth willingly. The original plane is no longer operating so the people of Aceh deliberately made a replica of the plane to commemorate the services of the people of Aceh and display the first plane for Indonesia, and the name of this plane is the Seulawah RI-001 Plane

Many visitors come here and take pictures under this magnificent plane, even though this is only a replica, this monument has a lot of meaning. I myself spent quite a long time under the plane and saw every detail of the beauty of this plane, and it was under the wings of this plane that I sat and took shelter from the hot sun.

And when I was sitting under the wing of the plane, I saw another monument, which made me immediately get up from my seat to approach the monument.

I often see this monument when I visit here, but I don't know about the history of the monument, but because of my great curiosity I started to approach the monument to find out more, because under the monument there is a concrete table with some writings in it.

And after reading the writing on the concrete, I finally realized the meaning of the monument building, which is as a memorial to the Aceh tsunami. Well, after getting information about the monument, I finally felt satisfied.

And when the clock showed past 1 pm, finally some visitors had come to this place, and several small children were seen in their school uniforms and accompanied by their teachers doing activities in the Blang Padang field area.

The sun felt very hot, but because I didn't have much time, I was willing to sunbathe under the hot sun so I could capture every beautiful moment on the Blang Padang field.

In the Blang Padang field area, there are several sports fields, and all the sports fields here are still functioning and there will definitely be visitors who come here to do some of the sports they like here. And what makes me very interested in this place is because this place looks so clean and very well maintained, seen from the wild grass and large trees, it looks amazing, doesn't it?

But from a distance I saw another object that had a very strange shape, but because of my curiosity I started to approach the object so I could see it from a closer distance.

It turns out that it is an automatic swing, and this swing in my place is often called the dragon swing, and besides being able to be ridden by small children, this swing can also be ridden by adults too, you know.

And after taking some pictures showing the swing, I immediately turned around and went straight home. And yesterday I was very satisfied because I was able to visit two historical places in one day, namely the Aceh Tsunami Museum and the Blang Padang field. And hopefully with some of the pictures and stories that I have presented in this post, I hope it can provide entertainment for all of my friends.
