Mushroom Charm // Mushrooms are very hard to find in the dry season
Good afternoon to all my beloved hive friends and to all my respected mushroom lover friends♥️
I just realized that after the rainy season ended, I had a hard time finding mushrooms in my area, unless I went into the wilderness where the air was colder than normal forests. I even went mushroom hunting on Monday but the results were not satisfactory, it was really annoying. However, I had to think carefully about how to get beautiful mushrooms considering that Friday was the day I had to show off some beautiful mushroom photos in this beloved community, so yesterday, Thursday, I went mushroom hunting again.
I had time to go into the forest in my area to hunt for mushrooms but after I wandered around the forest for 1 hour I did not get any beautiful mushrooms but some mushrooms that were already wilted and rotten, even though yesterday I went mushroom hunting at exactly 09:00 and it was still fairly early and very suitable for getting beautiful mushrooms, but maybe luck was not on my side. Because I had wandered around the forest and did not find satisfactory results, I immediately decided to go home.
I was confused about how to get beautiful mushrooms, until finally I had to involve my grandfather's knowledge to be able to ask him about how to get mushrooms in the forest in this hot dry season. Because in Indonesia there are only two seasons, namely the rainy season and the dry season, well when it rains like yesterday I really feel helped because I can easily get beautiful mushrooms, unlike the dry season like now where you have to struggle to get beautiful mushrooms.
But after my grandfather thought for a while, he finally got the answer, he told me to go to the palm oil pulp dump because there would definitely be several types of mushrooms growing there in the palm oil pulp, both edible and inedible mushrooms. Hearing my grandfather's statement, I immediately went to the palm oil pulp dump which was on the edge of the forest in my area.
As my grandfather said, as soon as I arrived at the palm oil pulp dump, I immediately found this white mini mushroom, this is a mushroom that usually grows on palm oil pulp, this mushroom is not only beautiful in shape and color, this mushroom is also edible.
When I found this white mini mushroom I immediately took a picture of it, because I was really tired looking for mushrooms all day yesterday. This mushroom has a unique shape but that's not what attracts me, what attracts me to this mushroom is its color and the fine hairs on the mushroom, the color of this mushroom is pure white and it can be seen with the naked eye.
However, after photographing the white mini mushrooms, I continued to look for other types of mushrooms in the pile of palm oil pulp, because as my grandfather said, there must be several types of mushrooms growing there.
I don't know if this is the same mushroom or not, but the cap of this mushroom is tea-colored, and the stem is longer. However, this mushroom also grows on palm pulp like the previous mushroom.
I am not sure if this mushroom is edible because of its shape and also it has a very strong smell, because one way to tell if a mushroom is inedible is from its strong smell. This palm oil pulp disposal site is also located under large trees so that the atmosphere around the pulp area is cooler so that mushrooms can grow well here.
However, the shape and color of this mushroom made me get some beautiful pictures, because the color of this mushroom has its own beauty and uniqueness. At that time I didn't really care whether it was an edible mushroom or not because I just wanted to hunt mushrooms for me to take pictures, but if I get an edible mushroom, it means extra luck for me.
Just like this mushroom
This mushroom has a more open umbrella than some of the previous types of mushrooms, and this mushroom grows on the ground near the palm oil pulp, but this mushroom does not have a pungent odor and it is possible that this mushroom can be eaten. I managed to find several types of extraordinary mushrooms only around the palm oil pulp and it was really lucky for me because this was indeed a result that I got from a sacrifice.
If this dry season is long, it might be a new challenge for me because to get some mushroom pictures I have to be ready to go into the forest, but if that is the only way then I will do it happily, because my principle is that if I have not gotten what I want then I will continue to try my best to get it.
And while I was taking pictures of these mushrooms, I suddenly noticed something peeking at me.
This is a straw mushroom, and this mushroom is edible and tastes very delicious. But strangely when I first arrived at this place I did not realize the existence of the mushroom, but after finding one of these mushrooms I started looking for it again under the pile of palm oil pulp by moving it, and as I expected I managed to get a decent amount of straw mushrooms.
I am not sure where this mushroom grows, because I have managed to find this straw mushroom in several different places, but this time I managed to find this straw mushroom growing well on palm oil pulp.
And this is the result I managed to get.
This is a very satisfying result, I managed to get several types of beautiful mushrooms for me to photograph, and I also managed to find edible straw mushrooms, what extraordinary luck. After I harvested these straw mushrooms, I also had time to look for mushrooms in other places but I didn't get any results. However, with the results I have gotten, I am very happy.
So those are some pictures of mushrooms that I managed to photograph yesterday and the story that I have presented in this post, I really hope that this post can provide entertainment for all of my friends.
