Learning from disaster // Rain all day caused flooding in my village

Good night to all my beloved hive friends ♥️

Today I can't do my usual activities because since I opened my eyes in the morning it started to rain, it rained all day which made many of my activities have to be postponed, so today I just lay down and sat with my friends in front of the house while enjoying the cold rain that continued to fall wetting this earth. Exactly at 03.00 pm suddenly the rain fell very heavily which was a sign that there would be a flood in my village.

My beloved cat also looked very restless where he showed strange and unusual behavior, my cat looked scared but I didn't know what his strange behavior meant. Right at half past five in the afternoon suddenly some villagers called us to immediately approach the river near our village to make sure the water in the river had risen or not.

Due to this anxiety, I and several friends immediately went to the river and checked the condition of the river water directly, and how surprised we were when we found out that the river water had started to rise, which was an early sign of an impending flood.

Knowing that the river water would soon rise, I immediately ran home to tidy up some things so that they would not be swept away by the flood, such as moving piles of firewood and other valuables, and I also didn't forget to secure some of my pets, such as chickens and goats, to a higher place, which would of course be safe from the flood.

As I expected, not long after I moved some of my pets, the river suddenly overflowed and immediately inundated my entire village, but because the flood was not too big, I finally had the chance to capture some of those moments as best I could using my cellphone camera.

It was seen that many residents were tidying up their houses and moving some of their valuables. We also helped each other to reduce the risk of losses caused by the flood. After helping several neighbors, I started heading to the crossroads in my village to see the flood phenomenon clearly.

It seems that the water has inundated almost my entire village, this incident happened so quickly, it was a blessing for those who already knew that a flood was coming, but it was a bit of a disaster for those who didn't know, where the flood continued to destroy or wash away anything in front of it.

And fortunately the flood that occurred this afternoon in my village was not too big and did not have a bad impact on the residents, but the flood was still very heavy and caused several residents to fall and get flooded.

But what we are afraid of is the second flood, because usually if a flood occurs in my village it will definitely last up to two times or more where the next flood that occurs will definitely be bigger than the previous flood, therefore the residents of my village have also moved some of their valuables and there is no other choice but to prepare for this disaster.

seen from some of the pictures above there is a small child who fell on the road because of the very heavy flood but fortunately the child is fine, It is also seen that the flood was so heavy that it made motorcyclists overwhelmed when crossing the flood. This usually happens in my village when the rainy season arrives so it is likely that local residents do not panic too much when the flood is happening, but even so much damage and loss must be felt by local residents caused by the flood such as losing some pets, losing their valuables, of course this is a natural disaster that must be accepted sincerely.

And we all hope that there will be no further floods because floods do cause damage that can harm local residents. A few years ago there was also a flood where the flood was very large which caused a lot of damage in my village so that local residents had to let go of many of their valuables that were lost and there were several houses that were swept away by the flood, and several cows died in the flood, and hopefully this phenomenon will not happen again because it is indeed very detrimental.

And not long after that suddenly the flood got bigger which made us have to help each other to reduce the impact of the losses, the rain got bigger which made me have to put away my cellphone and could no longer capture the moment, the height of the flood that occurred in my village reached the waist of an adult, it was very risky and very scary.
