Quick 4 ingredients dessert recipe!

(Edited)

Hello all, hope you've been doing great. This week has been quite eventful. I had traveled back home to Mangalore. Yesterday we celebrated the occasion of my parents' Wedding Anniversary! They did not want to do anything fancy. So, we planned to have a little candle light dinner setting at home.

My sister and I wanted to cook everything at home and treat our parents to it. We prepared some delicious soup, main course and desserts. We tried something new for dessert this time. It was quite last minute and so we did most of the available ingredients at home. I'd like to call it the Pudding Balls, hehe. And here I am sharing the recipe to this quick dessert fix with just four ingredients that would be easily available at any kitchen.

Here are all the ingredients you'll need:
250 ml Milk
100g Cornstarch
25g Sugar
2 tbsp. Butter
Cocoa powder (optional)
Vanilla essence/Fruit extract (optional)

So, let's begin! First, pick the Cornstarch (corn flour). Use a sieve to make sure there are no blocks going in and add it into a big bowl.

Next, add Sugar into this. Then add the Milk in. I have used toned milk here which was available at home. But you can add in any type of milk. Coconut milk is recommended for additional taste.

Stir this mixture well until it is entirely consistent like below.

Next, transfer this mixture into a frying pan on a stove. Keep it on medium flame.

Then add some butter (preferably unsalted) into the mix and keep stirring it. You can also add some vanilla essence (optional) or a fruit extract (optional) if you want to.

Keep stirring it until it starts to thicken. Stir it for about 5 minutes and the mixture will turn into a block like in the picture below.

Move this block to a tray and slice it into tiny cubes.

Roll it between your palms with some pressure to turn them into tiny cute balls. Make sure you do it when it is still warm, so that it's easier to shape them.

You can sprinkle them with some cocoa powder (optional) on top for taste. Serve and enjoy!!

Made my mum try it and she said they were delicious. They are slightly chewy when you put them in your mouth but then easily dissolve in a few seconds. Sweetness depends on the proportion of milk and sugar you add.

We also had these right after the candle light dinner we put together for our parents at home and they loved it.

That’s all for this post. If you made it to the end, thank you for reading! If you enjoyed it, please show your appreciation with a vote and a comment. And if you absolutely loved it, don't hesitate to reblog it. ✨
