Three-headed giant elephant musem (the erawan museum)
Hello friends, this is my first post on #weekendexperiences by @galenkp, and at the beginning of our meeting I will share my weekend moments, where I visited a museum that is quite famous in Thailand
the erawan museum Located du Moo 1 Bangmuangmai Amphoe Mueang Samut Prakan, Chang Wat Samut Prakan 10270, Thailand
The Erawan Museum is famous for its giant three-headed elephant statue as its icon, and this elephant statue is the first and largest hand-carved in the world, and is also one of the tourist attractions that must be visited when visiting Thailand. holy one
The Erawan Museum was built about 30 years ago and opened to the public since the 2000s. This elephant building has a height of more than 40 meters, with an elephant about 10 meters wide and about 40 meters long. is one of the other interesting things that exist in this place, this museum is also full of knowledge about art, religion, and culture, and the carvings that are owned from various statues are also very beautiful
This museum has three floors, the lower two floors are located inside the plinth while the third floor is located in the stomach of an elephant, and each of these floors also has its own duties, the first floor contains a collection of Chinese vases from historic dynasties, as well as history the construction of this museum, while the second floor holds valuable antiques and carvings, various statues are carved very beautifully, and the architecture of this building is truly extraordinary, the top floor symbolizes, Heaven of Travatimsa which is believed by the local community, as well as there is a statue of the goddess which is also a hand-carved, for more details I will share some of the pictures on the inside of this elephant museum
Only that part I was allowed to take a portrait of, while the part in the basement is absolutely not allowed to be photographed, that's because there are many historical antiques and may not be published to the public, but even so, the carvings that are visible in this part of the room also no less interesting, a giant dragon that has beautiful scales is made for the stairs, where when viewed from every angle, the beauty of this room is truly second to none, just pay a ticket price of 300 bhat, we can enjoy all the atmosphere in Erawan this museum
The design truly amazes anyone who sees it, even though they pay a hefty fee, it's worth what this place has to offer
Not only that, around this museum there is also a playground that is quite beautiful
Thailand is indeed known as the country of white elephants, so naturally every corner of various places in this country has "elephants" both carved and real elephants, this park is no exception, in some corners there are always beautiful elephant carvings, and they are exactly the same as the original though it is a human hand carving
Several other sculpture carvings are also seen in this beautiful garden, spending a full day here still can't satisfy me, that's how it goes, if you are all interested I highly recommend this museum for your tourist destination when on vacation to Thailand, and that's it for now Here, have a nice weekend
