Un libro que llega a mis manos gracias a mi suegra y a mi novia como un regalo, en mi entender, como uno de los mejores regalos que he podido recibir. Este es un libro dedicado a la vida y obra desde los inicios del dúo cubano Buena fe, uno de los dúos que más marcado generaciones desde sus inicios allá por el año 1999.

Mucho de los trovadores y músicos que hoy en día luchamos a diario por lograr ser reconocido nacionalmente por nuestra música, tenemos como ejemplo a este dúo que paso tanto trabajo a lo largo de los años, viniendo a la Habana desde su provincia, la más oriental de Cuba y nada prospera Guantánamo.

Este libro habla desde el primer disco que lleva por nombre Déjame Entrar, hasta su último disco Carnal, que recoge también el libro. Muchas son las anécdotas que quedan plasmadas en estas líneas, como aquella gran proeza que hicieron por el 2010 en el gran escenario de la Plaza de la Revolución, donde hicieron la captación días antes de un nuevo guitarrista eléctrico.

Dayron, que en pocos días se aprendió todo un repertorio de más de quince canciones, por lo que casi la mitad del concierto lo hicieron solo a guitarra y voz, dejando claro una vez más la esencia del dúo, siendo este uno de los conciertos donde más ha asistido personas a lo largo de toda la historia de Cuba con una cifra aproximadamente de trescientas mil personas y Dayron a partir de ese momento formo una parte esencial de la agrupación que siempre deja claro son como una familia.

Otra de las anécdotas trascendentales fue como cuentan como surge su gran éxito Catalejo, Israel Rojas, compositor, voz principal y director de este dúo, deja claro como llega a casa de Ernesto Cisnero el pianista de la agrupación casi de madrugada y le pregunta si se sabía la Comparsa, obra instrumental de Ernesto Lecuona, este confirmo y así nació no solo una canción, sino también una crítica social nunca antes escuchada en una letra, canción que le puso además el nombre a un disco, uno de los mejor en mi humilde opinión.

Espectaculares también son las imágenes que regala el libro, donde se ve la evolución de dos niños, pasando por dos adolescentes y terminado por los hombres, padres de familia que son hoy. Otro de los puntos que tocaron fue lo importante y lo difícil de ver crecer a sus hijos en la distancia, ya que muchas veces estaban lejos en conciertos, giras y tal, y que sin lugar a dudas fue siempre lo más difícil de aguantar.

Realmente mucho han sido los obstáculos con los cuales ellos han tenido que luchar, desde políticos, censuras, perdidas de amigos y familiares apreciados, pero aun así siguen en pie, siguen haciendo música, muy buena música, que se refleja claramente en su último álbum Morada, una obra de arte en todos los sentidos. Sin más preámbulo le recomiendo este libro disco que gracias a Israel hoy tengo autografiado por su puño y letra.

A book that came into my hands thanks to my mother-in-law and my girlfriend as a gift, in my opinion, one of the best gifts I have ever received. This is a book dedicated to the life and work from the beginnings of the Cuban duo Buena fe, one of the duos that most marked generations since its beginnings back in 1999.

Many of the troubadours and musicians who today struggle daily to achieve national recognition for our music, have as an example this duo that spent so much work over the years, coming to Havana from its province, the easternmost province of Cuba and not at all prosperous Guantanamo.

This book talks from their first album, Déjame Entrar, to their latest album Carnal, which is also included in the book. Many are the anecdotes that are captured in these lines, such as the great feat they did in 2010 on the great stage of the Plaza de la Revolución, where they did the recruitment days before a new electric guitarist.

Dayron, who in a few days learned a whole repertoire of more than fifteen songs, so that almost half of the concert they did only guitar and voice, making clear once again the essence of the duo, this being one of the concerts where more people have attended throughout the history of Cuba with a figure of approximately three hundred thousand people and Dayron from that moment formed an essential part of the group that always makes it clear they are like a family.

Another of the transcendental anecdotes was how they tell how their great success Catalejo arises, Israel Rojas, composer, main voice and director of this duo, makes clear how he arrives at Ernesto Cisnero's house the pianist of the group almost at dawn and asks him if he knew the Comparsa, an instrumental work by Ernesto Lecuona, he confirmed and thus was born not only a song, but also a social criticism never heard before in a lyric, a song that also gave the name to an album, one of the best in my humble opinion.

The images in the book are also spectacular, where you can see the evolution of two children, passing through two teenagers and ending with the men, fathers of a family that they are today. Another point they touched on was how important and difficult it was to see their children grow up in the distance, since many times they were far away for concerts, tours and so on, and that undoubtedly was always the hardest thing to bear.

There have really been many obstacles that they have had to struggle with, from politicians, censorship, loss of dear friends and family, but even so they are still standing, still making music, very good music, which is clearly reflected in their latest album Morada, a work of art in every way. Without further ado, I recommend this album book that thanks to Israel I now have autographed in his handwriting.
