Hello Splinterlands Fans, Welcome to another series of card feature !

In starter cards, most Earth Monster are magic user. Speaking of magic user, there is a card in starter pack that has extraordinary ability and has tank quality even though its life is only at average level. This monster is the REGAL PERYTON. For this week, Regal Peryton is the featured monster in SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! REGAL PERYTON and to help other players, we are going to analyze its strength and weaknesses in order to increase our probability of winning the game.

THE POWER OF REGAL PERYTON

REGAL PERYTON is a Rare Earth Monster with Flying ability. Monsters with this kind of ability has increase chance of evading attacks of the monsters who do not have flying ability. This is such a great feature of a monster because it can possibly evade many attacks, that will result to survival of this monster in many rounds. This monster has 1 magic attack, 5 speed, and 6 lives. By looking at the stats of this monster. we can say that it is pretty reliable tank monster in the field. Its speed plus its ability can make it survive and evade many attacks. The 1 magic attack is a small damage but magic attacks are direct damage which means that it can reduce the life of the monster. In terms of life, this monster has an average life but it can still surely make it up until the third round.

Taking all those positive qualities of this monster, we can say that it has the potential to be one of the meta. If this monster has only higher magic attacks, then it can definitely make every battle successful.

On the other hand, even though this monster have lots of positive attributes, it still has downsides. The downside of this monster is that this monster cannot gain new ability when it level up. Its stats will increase but it will not gain any more abilities. That is somehow disappointing because an additional ability on this card can make it one of the Earth Unit Gods in Splinterlands.

CARD ANALYSIS

• STRENGTH

The Regal Peryton is known for its Flying ability and definitely, that is its strength. To emphasize and use this strength, make sure to place this monster in tank position everytime you decided to use it. Regal Peryton can avoid lots of melee and range attacks and that is the reason why it wins most of the time.

• WEAKNESS

The weakness of this monster is magic attackers. Even though it has high speed and Flying ability, it still cannot avoid magic attacks. Magic attacks never miss and it can only be resisted by an ability. So with that, beware to players who usually use magic in battle. Understanding the weakness of Regal Peryton can make our battle more flawless because it makes us aware on what we should avoid.

• PERFECT TO USE AGAINST

Regal Peryton is perfect to use against the Water Unit and Fire Unit and Life Unit. Water Unit are the masters of speed and magic attack can only make sure that they will have damage. Regal Peryton is a magic attacker which makes it one of the perfect candidate to defeat water unit. Fire Unit and Life Unit are melee and range attackers and with that, it will be difficult for them to make damage against Regal Peryton. It will only evade all of their attacks.

• THE PERFECT COMPANION

Most of the time, monsters can be stronger by just finding their perfect companion in the field. For Regal Peryton, we need cards that can elevate its attack and increase its ability. That said, Regal Peryton needs OBSIDIAN and MYLOR CROWLING

OBSIDIAN. This summoner can increase the magic attacks of all friendly monsters. Magic attacks are direct attack and having higher magic attacks can be an asset in the game. Real Peryton has only 1 magic attack in Level 1. Making it 2 magic attacks with the use of Obsidian will be a threat to your opponent.
MYLOR CROWLING. This summoner can give Thorns ability to friendly monsters. Monsters with Thorns ability can reduce the life of the attacker who uses melee attacks on it. If Regal Peryton has this king of ability, everytime a monster attacks it using melee attack can be reduced its life by 2 points. It will be a struggle to your opponent because the only thing that could work effectively now to damage Regal Peryton is the monster who has magic attack as well.

Now that we know the suggested summoners for Regal Peryton, its time to determine the perfect companion of Regal Peryton.

QUEEN MYCELIA. This monster has Protect ability. Monsters with this kind of ability can give plus two additional shield to friendly monsters. Regal Peryton needs shield in order to protect itself from melee and range attacks. Additional shields can make this monster live longer in the field.
GOBLIN PSYCHIC. This monster has Tank Heal ability. Monsters with this kind of ability can heal the first position monster. It will be helpful for Regal Peryton if its life is always replenish every round. It can make its life longer in the field.

CONCLUSION

Regal Peryton is one of the of starter cards of Earth Unit. It has a lying ability that can increase its evading chance. Also, this monster is a magic attacker, which makes it even more powerful in the field. Many players consider this monster as a meta and one of the cards that should be afraid off. Even though this monster is already powerful, still, it can be improved by finding its right position in battle and its perfect teammates
